this games wasn't played in three or four weeks because the Aggie would thump them in the 4th or 5th game into the season. You Ute fans should be pretty worried. USU ran all over you and they are a pretty weak team. Unga will look like the heisman trophy winner when he is done with that slow weak defense. Two words for the shadow crew- - -Middle Linebackers- - -
moose on the loose
Nice job to both teams. This rivalry is aptly named the battle of the brothers. We hit each other hard but don't have the contempt that is present when playing the school down south. BTW-I wonder if the Boise St. and Oregon players did the pre-game respect handshakes. We all saw the disrespectful behavior of the players after that game...
Moose with a screw loose (aka t r o l l),
USU did run all over Utah on two plays (one pass, one run). They also had one heckuva goal line stand. Other than that, not much else. And while I agree USU will get stronger over the season, probably surprising a team or two, Utah will get even stronger. That's always how the Utes role... they build and build and peak near the end of the season. If they played USU a 5 weeks from now, Utah would have two more touchdowns and USU one or two less.
The Cougars on the other hand, tend to start strong (hopefully a trait that provides a glimmer of hope for Saturday) but then not improve. Hence the poor showing against the stronger teams in and out of the MWC, including bowl games, and why the re-building Utes will still have a great shot at taking out the Cougars in LES this year.
Actually, Boise State and Oregon showed poor sportsmanship before, during and after the game. Both teams had their examples of not really getting the whole "sportsmanship" idea.
good the uters stink they need a break
they can't even beat us....
This "rivalry" needs to go on a very long break - until the game is actually in doubt before it is played. Maybe that will take USU 10 solid seasons ?
