I am speechless. That such courage, commitment and sense of duty are found in a young troop who has suffered so much is a testament to the human spirit and America's fighting men and women. Freedom is worth fighting for and we must never forget it. God bless you and all your comrades-in-arms, Corporal Gallegos.

I salute CPL Gallegos for his bravery, and his dedication to duty. We are indeed to have men (and women) such as him who are willing to risk and sacrifice so much to defend our freedom.

We can never repay the debt we owe them.

But, we can say THANK YOU!

THANK YOU CPL GALLEGOS! And your family and loved ones.

Isaac is an inspiration as a service man, a civilian, a friend, and an American. I was there when he motivated the Agel's "Walk of Hope" international participants early this morning "to care about others," and reminded them that we are doing this to make life a little bit better for others because we care. As he led the pack with Agel Hope walkers, he stepped it up with a bit of a jog; many of the participants wouldn't be outdone and kept up with him to the finish line where he was interviewed and photographed by inspired participants as far away as the Phillipines, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico to name a few. His courage and personal commitment to battle his way back, and still have plenty of room to care about others, speaks volumes as to the to the size of this young man's heart, soul, will, and determination to make this world a better place, for you, for me and other's in need of compassion and care. Thank you Isaac, for taking an outspoken stand and living your ideals. Semper Fi.

As a future medical professional, I feel so humbled and even ashamed of my peers reading the story of Cpl. Gallegos. His determination and love of our country and the Corps far surpass any judgment and expectations made by his doctors. It is difficult to believe the same Cpl. Gallegos whose body received such trauma has overcomed his near-fatal wounds and still continues to pursue his goals of serving the country. On the other hand, it is an awakening call for doctors, that they shouldn't succumb so easily, at least not before the patient himself does so. I congratulate Cpl. Gallegos for his amazing come back and wishes him the best in the future!
