Back in the 60s our bishop used to assign a family by surprise to live for one week on only the supplies in their home. No cheating and no sneaking to the store unless you absolutly had to and then report in sacrament meeting. I remember the talks and talk about interesting!! Very educational. I wish that this was done more often. It sure will wake a person up!
