WHY?

WHy does WJ always play such a weak preseason?

East

ONE offensive touchdown in two games!!

WJ

Uh you don't mention the Jags hitting the road to play at Provo and at PG...

WJ

West Jordan is the number one team in the state, go jags!

wj observer

that was cody Burns that picked up the blocked fg for 65 yards, cody Byrd is the defencive coordinator

East is in trouble

Their new head coach is going to take that team back to it's losing ways (as it was before Whitehead showed up). The coach doesn't know how to be a head coach. He starts a sophomore offensive lineman that didn't even sniff the field the year before and has no right being on the field (but he's a great kid, just not a football player). Personel decisions like this are mind-boggeling. He's turning East into a laughing stock all because he thinks he knows what he's doing and thinks he has to get rid of all previous coaches to be successful.

I love the kids at East and I truly feel sorry for them and the direction the program is going. They have a BOAT load of talent (Sophomore team was 7-2 and finished second in region last year), but it doesn't matter how talented you are, if you don't have a solid program plan and game plan, you won't be successful with those players.

lets see what happens to west jordan when they play provo next week

region 3

Let's see what happens to wj when they start region play? I can tell you it wont be pretty!

concern parents

Come on east football players, don't rely on your size this game is in the head, a great player uses their brain good luck, come on coaches, classroom work is far more important. Think about their futures.

wj

spanked in region? wj is going to be right there with bingham contending for the region title. there new offense averages 41 points a game and starting d has only allowed two touchdowns!

wj true fan

honestly wj, beating bingham? not this year, it will not be a close game cause they have too much size on us. but we will be guaranteed three region wins in taylorsville(thanks for coming to the region!),kearns, and always copper hills. riverton will be a decent game and we will make the playoffs this year!!!!:) good luck on the rest of the season and i will be at all the games

come on

East - trust your coach. He is implementing a new system on both sides of the ball. Changes will not take place overnight. He is teaching the boys solid fundamentals of the game on both sides of the ball. Parents, if you're the ones complaining on this board, shame on you. You need to support your coach. If you question him to your sons, they will in turn question him as well. Go Leopards.

Former East Alumni

I never thought that East would ever drop to this point. They have some of the best talent in the state from recent years and yet they transfer to other high schools. Latu and Ricky Heimuli, Stanley Havili, Kalama, Saalt, to name a few. Why is that? It is obvious that they want a better future for themselves so the parents transfer them. East coaches need to implement a better program to keep their kids. Good luck EAST!!!

Ram Nation

I love it!!

EAST insider!

step it up boys! i know you poly boys can do more then that! use your head, not your size! knoxx, keep doing what you do! STEP UP EAST PLAYERS!

Ballislife

I'm not a WJ fan to say the least. I also don't have anything against the program. It wouldn't suprise me if the beat Provo but that's not saying much. They will not play Bingham or Pleasant Grove within two touchdowns. I've seen PG and Bingham play this year and Bingham is the best team in the state of Utah. Thay being said. They will not play Trinity (TX) within 21 points and there not even a top 10 team in Texas this year.

east

help

WJ positive changes

This is the first time in 11 years WJ has run an offense like this. I think it was smart to start with the teams they did. New offenses can be tough to get going. WJ's defense is looking very strong and it's about time they started platooning instead of having so many starters going both ways. Once the offense settles in WJ will be a tough team. There are always the nay-sayers; I'm often one of them, but this year there is different in so many ways. I hope the rest of the region take the Jags for granted, it will make it that much more exciting to watch.

give it a rest

parents, give it a rest. it's still preseason. knoxx will have this thing rollin' in no time. look out mt crest!

Give knox time

He is a good coach, just give him a couple of weeks for the players to adjust to the new system, and the program will be fine. They just need to fix their problems and save their best football at the end of the year. Luckily we have a playoff in high school, instead of a ridiculous BCS system.
