Zombie should never be allowed to direct another movie ever again. Did you ever see House of a 1000 Corpses? Was the worst horror movie ever made period and I have seen some real stinkers. These Halloween movies should have never been remade. He hasn't actually reinvented the genre. Zombie go back to doing crappy disco songs. Astro-Creep 2000 was the only "ART" you ever made. Quit destroying some of my favorite movies.

This article does a wonderful job of pointing out just how far movie making has deteriorated in the past few decades. Modern Hollywood is apparently completely out of ideas that do not consist primarily of mindless promotions of violence, immorality, and self-gratification.

Maybe he should go back to making music that no one listens to.

These movies are just too violent for me....
I saw his house of 1000 corpses and then the devils rejects.
They were creative in a disgusting way. I just can't stand movies like that anymore.
I think it's funny that you all say he makes crappy music, etc. I am not a fan myself but, the guy has sold millions of records under the white zombie and rob zombie bands.
To me it isn't an issue of whether movies are too gory, violent etc...It comes down to personal taste. Obviously there is a market for this.

I will be sure to rush out and NOT see this movie.

I think these movies apply to a certain kind of crowd. There is a certain excitement in a 'crappy' horror movie. I think Rob Zombie makes some great simple flicks. I can't wait to see this.

Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that you really don't know much at all about the current state of cinema. Movie making is not deteriorating - it's just that sometimes you have to look a bit harder to find the best films (though there are still fantastic films being made in the Hollywood system.) There have always been trashy films (though older ones were certainly less graphic), but percentage-wise there is no significant decrease in the amount of good and great films being made.

In short, go watch the films of artists like Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, Mike Leigh, Hayao Miyazaki, Werner Herzog, Wong Kar-Wai, Terrence Malick (and so on) and then come back and try to tell us about the deteriorating state of modern cinema. You may not like all their films, but there's no denying that in terms of artistry, intelligence, morality, and sheer filmmaking quality the best films of today will stand up to the best films of any era.

Crazy

I think the ORIGINAL Halloweens were tastefull and just intense enough to keep your attention and now that Mr. Zombies got his hands on it he has ruined it, every film has to contain such high sexual content that it is crazy, I use to watch Halloween when I was a kid and now my kids can not even see the last few thats been released.

I heard that Rob Zombie wants to remake The Blob(which already has a remake). Maybe he'll give it a pathetic back story. Like the Blob grew up in an abusive trashy home and that's the reason why it consumes everything.
