I wouldn't drink at a bar that participated in this patronizing nonsense.

uncanny hit it.

Bars like Lumpy's, the late Port O'Call, to some degree Green Street -- and certainly any bar calling itself a "sports bar" -- are where frat boys and guys needing to posture by showing how many pitchers of beer they can chug go to get their pathetic drunk on. Great if this campaign sends even one of these lunkheads the real message here. In real bars, where everybody knows your name, you go and hang with friends that have your back, take turns taking everyone else's keys and being the DD, and generally know when to say when. It's called being an adult. Hey pretty boys who get bailed out of the drunk tank by daddy, you ought to try it out sometime.

Great... that is 1 less drunk on the road from those bars anyway. Looks like it's working.

Official abuse scary enough

How about portayals that an "independent" police panel has decided not to take action on your complaint that you were sexually assaulted by jail personnel, or that DCFS will be taking your children out of your home and placing them in protective custody?

That would sure scare some straight.

But no, State employees must always be portrayed as beneficent when taxpayer dollars fund the gunvernment's campaigns.

Sister Smith

There is absolutely no excuse for drinking, let alone driving drunk. The Brethren, as well as holy scripture, have admonished us time and again to avoid strong drink.

dear sister smith

who are these "Brethren" you speak of? self-righteous much?

SLC gal

Sister Smith - it's not the LDS that are drinking....

MyOpinion

Don't assume that "Sister Smith" is Mormon....more likely a bigoted Utahn trying to be funny. At least let's hope so. Her comment is stupid beyond words!!!! People, PLEASE, let's try and keep religion out of this very serious problem!!
