Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then
campaign against them. They create deficits then campaign against them. They
create wars then campaign against them. They create burdensome taxes then
campaign against them and on and on it goes! Term limits for all politicians
would be a tremedous help against this problem.
@anon, I despise the man who would take freedom/wealth from one person and give
it to another more deserving voter. And you call me selfish? How am I selfish
to want to provide a better life than the one my parents gave me and not be able
to do this becuase of an overly intrusive government led by the likes of
Kennedy. Bile Is the utter religious-like hatred you have for any freedom
loving capitalist in this the greatest country on the face of the earth! The only true charity and pitty can come through voluntary actions and not by
government mandate by powerful, super wealthy, politicians.
47 years is way too long to be in politics. 2 terms is plenty for any postion.
Even Hatch has been in too long.
although there is an occasional thoughtful comment (e.g., 6:47, though that
"kool-aid" cliche is horribly passe), a great many of the entries in these pages
show a lack of intelligence, humanity, character, and respect for any difference
of opinion ... ... these people are followers: they are told what to
think, what to do, and what to say ... they are no closer to the truth than
those poor superstitious folk in the dark ages ... if anyone is drunk on
kool-aid it is them..
You are an ugly group of people. The bile in your guts and void in your
character is reflected in the pitilessness and selfishness of your politics.
As a Republican watching the "YES WE CAN" escapade in Denver last year, I have
to admit that I was impressed with Ted Kennedy to show up to the DNC in Denver
and share a few words to the kool-aid drinkers of this world.Rest in
His death marks the end of one of the most corrupt, tax and spend, entitlement
socialist Senators that ever existed. If only it were true that his death would
mark the end of that era!
