Good recommendation

Thanks Sen. Bennett for alienating both the right and the left. Your independence is honest and refreshing. Keep in up.

Yeah!

The so called Club for growth is helping Democrats gain seats in the Senate and house by weakening moderate Republicans in primaries. I hope they succeed, they helped add many Democrats due to their myopic vision of narrow thinking and vision for the Republican Party.

Change is coming

The biggest change will be Bennett's change of address after the 2010 election.

Orrin

Bob deserves this attention.....he has been a RINO parading as a republican long enough....take a hike Bob!! Go Shurtleff...

Here is another alternative

WHY DON'T WE ELIMINATE THE GOVERNMENT FROM HEATLHCARE ALTOGETER????????????? THEY DO NOTHING TO HELP IT AND JUST MAKE IT WORSE. GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT JUST SERVES TO MAKE THE CROOKS IN WASHINGTON RICH AND DOES NOTHING TO HELP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

DesertYankee

Sen. Bennett is in fact and deed a RINO who has "worked with" noted libs quite frequently over the years. His actions are lending credibility to liberal bills ostensibly by allowing the leftists to call a bill "bi-partisan". We elect Republicans to FIGHT dem liberals, not play kissy-face and party with them. The only reason a Republican representative of the people of Utah should "reach across the aisle" is to slap a leftist and tell them to eat dirt and die.

La

Hope the money from LaRaza was worth it for him. Look up his voting record. He does not represent Utahns until voting time.

In support of Bob

It's very funny that for all the talk about health care, no one really knows the details of any of the proposed plans. I find it hilarious that folks are challenging Bob Ben. This man has good standing back in Washington and his presence is very favorable for our State, get real people.

Furthermore - I'm not for or against Obama's plan, Bennett's plan or any other plan. I do know with certainty however, that we are going to run into a host of problems in the near future with our current insurance system, social welfare system too. Anywhere we can go to that explains the details of any of these proposed plans?

Furthermore, I'm leery of any special interest group's advertising - from enviro extremists all the way over to crazy social conservatives. I think you're all crazy.

MONEY

How much money is this group receiving from the Insurance Lobby?

Until we know the truth to that question, the only things this group are promoting are doubt and fear.

The Club for Growth should change their name to the Club for Really, Really Rich Guys Who Don't Want To Pay Any Taxes.

Roland Kayser's comment is the best!

DesertYankee has got some problems. Perhaps a little therapy is in order.

Roland, you forgot part of

their name:

The Club for Growth should change their name to the Club for Really, Really Rich Guys (and not-so-rich Guys that Harbor the Delusion that they will be Really, Really Rich Someday) Who Don't Want To Pay Any Taxes.

don't mention it!

bob's health care plan:

(3) COVERAGE FOR FAMILY PLANNING-

(A) IN GENERAL- Except as provided in subparagraph (B), a health insurance issuer shall make available supplemental coverage for abortion services that may be purchased in conjunction with enrollment in a HAPI plan or an actuarially equivalent healthy American plan.

(B) RELIGIOUS AND MORAL EXCEPTION- Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to require a health insurance issuer affiliated with a religious institution to provide the coverage described in subparagraph (A).

Conservative..

In March of this year Senator Bob Bennett was rated one of the ten most liberal Republicans in the Senate by Human Events based on the American Conservative Union Ratings for 2008. Why Bennett would pay money to convince voters he is Conservative is beyond me.

lost in DC

for the article to have been informative, it would have actually explained what Bennett's bill does, then we could form our own conclusions.

Cosmo

Bennett= Arlen Specter, RINO!

No more Bennett or Shurtleff

Fact: Bob Bennett is the mover and shaker on the Senate Banking Committee.
Fact: Bob Bennett is rolling in campaign contributions from financial institutions and other powerful lobby groups that own him outright.
Fact: Bob Bennett's kids were employed by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, but they rarely showed up for work, other than to collect the fat paychecks.
Fact: Bennett was the mover behind TARP, for the benefit of his kid's employers and his campaign contributors.
FACT: BENNETT IS TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH UTAH

Bennett attended the free lands rally to talk about getting the federal government out of our pocket and off our back. Who is he trying to kid? Does he think that we are that stupid? He IS the federal government.

It is common knowledge that Bennett adores Washington life and abhors visiting Utah. We've seen him lately only because of a viable challenger to his election. I won't vote for Shurtleff because of his pro-polygamy stand and because he is fully owned by stock fraudsters like Mark Jenson. Someone rise up and give Utahns a conservative choice.

Not Asleep

Just the fact that Bob Bennett is on the Senate Banking Committee given the history of banking in the US for the past 20 years is enough reason for me to say: "Get Bob Bennett the heck out of Washington."

Re: No More Bennett or Shurtleff
I know about fact one; I have always felt that way about "fact two" (can't really be called a fact more like an opinion); facts 2, 3, and 4 are interesting if they are really true. I have always suspected our two senators from Utah had been bought and sold a long time ago I just didn't know how. If these are true I now know how. Corruption is really bad back in Washington and I have suspected our senators were not completely free from it. I would like to have more information so I can be truly enlightened about my suspicions.

Not Asleep

Oops---- "Fact Two" = Fact 5

John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt

You true conservatives with the pointy stick for perceived RINO politicians crack me up. You would rather have a Democrat win instead of someone friendly but not wholly insistent on your narrow views. Thanks for giving up seats to field ideologically narrow candidates.
