the UTES recruit well and have talent to back up a loss like this. Mark of a well coached and well recruited team. Great job Utes! Get well Misi!
Good to hear some positive news on Misi. With all of this lack of information I feared the worst. Hope he gets back soon. No matter how deep they are at end, they need him in the rotation.
It's no surprise that the team has some depth. With the record of bowl game wins and Whittingham's ability to recruit, we should be loaded with talent for years.
I think the team will surprise some teams this year. Talent and speed always rise to the top. GO UTES!
Nai you are the man!! I will never forget that hit you put on that running back from SDSU your freshman year. One of the hardest hits I have ever seen, and I have been around football for YEARS. Can't wait to see you torment oposing QB's this fall!!! GO 42!!!!!!!!!!!!
deep at dt, but not so much at de
What happened to James Aiono? Wasn't he a 5 star JC DE we signed last year? Is he not on the team?
red shirted... academic problems. I think they should keep Misi out until the Oregon game. That's a game we will need him at.
isnt on the team because he didnt academicly qualify
Thanks for the Aiono update. I've been wondering what happened to him and with all his potential can't wait to see him on the field. With him on the field next year, the experience some of the underclassmen will get, a year under the belt of either quarterback and BYU and TCU at home, 2011 could be huge.
The DNews and SLTrib have both reported that despite his need to complete more coursework before joining the team, that he will be enrolling at the U in January. I just hope he doesn't get snatched up by someone else, but no indication of that happening yet.
Can't wait to see #42 unleash his power on the oposing teams starting with the aggies. Nai is going to knock some people around this year. Go UTES!
Aiono was orig recruited by Utah but due to academic issues he had to go to snow to play and get grades in line. He didnt quite make everything needed to get out of snow to be here this year so he is staying there through Jan and will enroll then. He should still have 2 years left when he shows up!
