Offensive line doesn't care which QB is playing ether one is going to get sacked.
Why did Louks transfer to Nevada and tell the media it was because he's a QB at heart if Coach Ault told him he'd be inserted at Safety? That makes no sense. Either way, he's going to have to sit out a year, and either way the coaches wanted to slate him at DB. What was the point of the transfer?
He says he's leaving Utah so he can play QB, but it says he's going to play safety at Nevada? I don't get it.
The only explaination for the trade is that Louks was too proud to accept the fact that he might not be as good as others at QB. He's transfering because there is obvious bad blood between player and organization.
Louks is like the proverbial kid who doesn't get what he wants, so he picks up his marbles and heads for another friends house with a "I'll show you" attitude. Like Coach Whit says, Corbin is old news. It is not about being quarterback, its about not getting your way.
Whit was unusually testy when it came to questions about Louks. There was definitely a lot more to the story that we may never find out about.
I'm glad he transferred, but in all likelihood it was a huge mistake for his career. WAC teams like Nevada aren't exactly known for their defense.
Hope he does well there... don't really care though.
Ah...the first comment is from a Zoobie...and they allege that WE are really wannabe's for commenting on Y-ner articles....that is a laugh! Let's remember this is an article on the O line not on Corbin Louks. As Coach Whit said, Louks is yesterday's news, he is a member of the Wolfpack...let's focus on the future and not yesterday...we will leave that to Y-ners and 1984.
Do you have some special powers, because the first comment said nothing about being a BYU fan. He could be a BSU fan or even a USU fan. What is the laugh is that you live soooooo much in BYU's shadow that its all you see. . .

When Louks said, "I'll play wherever the team wants me" I was really offended. He wasn't willing to be a team player for Utah which resulted in the transfer and now he will be at the same position for a worse team in a smaller conference. Makes me laugh now. Good luck Louks, we don't want selfish players anyway. Have fun with the "Pack" while the Utes continue to win games without you.
GO UTES!
We have got Jack Heaps and Hall so we'll be good for a while.
They need a new tight end at the bunny ranch. Louks will be a starting safety in Reno, wouldn't have cracked the safety rotation at Utah.
Tell Dennis hello.............

Is Jack, Jake's brother?
has a lot of experience. Our QB is designed to play off the run with two to three options if it breaks down. It doesn't take a lot of experience to hand the ball off to Asiata. Most of our passing plays are simple with three options. The experience comes into play by reading the defense and reacting to one of the two or three options. BJ did well at times but Alex Smith was extemely talented at reacting to what the defense gives them. I expect defenses will be blitzing a lot to rattle our inexperienced QB's. Cain will get up and run if everything breaks down. I don't know what Winn will do. Hopefully we will get it down during our first two games with USU and San Jose. Oregon has only 5 starters from their defense of a year ago so they will be learning as well. I'm sure Whit will have the team ready by the time league play opens. Our defense won't ever give up 25 points. Hopefully our offense won't give up points. If we control our turnovers, we will do very well this year.
Nothing against Louks the person. But as a QB I think he was a turnover waiting to happen unless they limited him to the "Weddle Package". Maybe he transferred to Nevada to play safety because of damaged pride and ego reasons after being demoted to 3rd string QB. Or maybe he saw players like freshmen Victor Spikes and Jarrad Stewart at safety at Utah and figured he would haved a tough time beating them out for playing time...
Blessed he's coming to you now? Blessed he didn't come and now he's changing his mind? Blessed in general and it has nothing to do with Corbin Louks?
Man, are you bucking for a job in Provo or what with that kind of mixing of religious views and football?
The line may not care who the QB is. But I can tell you something for dang sure, the QB is going to care about the weak line -- after he's getting sacked time and time again on 11/28 by the swarming Cougar defense.
BTW, I'm tired of the bias for Utah on these boards.
Re: HeyUtefan
I guarantee the first post was a Y fan li' buddy. There's no shadow to live in... win a meaningful game then we'll talk shadows.
"The only explaination for the trade..."
Wow, you really are a newbie. College teams don't trade players. That only happens in the pros.
The fact that Louks transerred to Nevada, will forfeit a year of eligibility because of it, and will not be playing QB there either speaks volumes about the sad state of affairs at Utah.
