No one in the world can foresee the future and make solid or sound plans for it. This claim of time limiting for attorney costs is unfounded and who knows how well the filing of this suit by the former mayor has been shuffled around the city offices. This is a weak excuse of incompetence by the city and reflects its caring for the citizens.

Why are officials being compensated before the meetings occur? Shouldn't the process be that they attend the meeting and then request reimbursement for their expenses? Seems to me that either the City needs a policy that requires some form of documentation on attendance or a requirement that checks or cash be returned to the City.

If Eagle Mountain starts reimbursing old mayors for litigation costs, it will go broke by the time it hits its 8th mayor! Silly Eagle Mountain, running cities is for honest people.

Shame on Eagle Mountain! | 2:08 p.m. Aug. 21, 2009
The city brought these ridiculous charges against the man spending Utah County Taxpayer dollars! How can they expect Olsen to pay the legal costs when he followed city policy and the directions of veteran employee Angie Ferre? Its only fair to him to pay his costs! Shame on you Eagle Mountain!
