is not going to be our weak spot. QB has me the most worried as well as tight ends. All of the linemen except for one has experience. Our defense should be really good. Hopefully our defense will pull us through long enough for the offense to come around.
Always is the one to save us until the offense gets the hang of things.
you have at other positions wont change the fact that your QB is going to kill you. What good is a great defense going to do when your QB throws an pick on your own 20 yardline?
Get a life and read columns from the Y. You don't see me reading Y artlicles do you. NO because I am a UTE fan. It seems to me that the Y? has there own set of issues to deal with: No offensive line, no live drills in practice, no defense, no speed, no athleticisim, no recievers, no linebackers, no DB's, no D-line, no servicable backups at any postition, your coach thinks he is a general authority, football is about 7th on coaches priorities, the majority of your fans are over 65, and your stadium is VERY, VERY quiet when filled with these geriatrics and greg wrubell listenting DBs.
I only have one thing to say, longest bowl winning record in the COUNTRY, 2 BCS bowls/wins, and KW.
GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the Help: I would rather have a fresh face than a guy who has been known to choke in big games.
I really like Eddie Wide. He is a nice compliment to Asiata. He will also help take some pressure off of the new QB whoever that might be.
It is going to be awesome to see Chad Manis lay the wood to some guys this year. He is a beast!
I love this rivalry, Utes with 4 or 5 losses this year, its going to be a rough here with a little kid as your quaterback.
Utah only recruits quarterbacks. They make the best defensive players.
That little kid is bigger than Max Hall and has a better arm too.
"Beefier" Wynn is 2 - 3 inches taller but max is about 15 -20 fatter.
Not to be critical of you tirade....but....for someone who said, "You don't see me reading Y articles do you", you sure seem to know a lot about BYU's "problems" this year.....
Personally, I read articles about all of the Utah schools. Getting background on the players makes the games more enjoyable.
Go Cougars, Utes, Wildcats and Aggies!!
I'm really excited for the RB spot this year for the Utes! Eddie Wide, Shak, Asiata, and don't forget about Ray Stowers. He can definitely be a capable back if given an opportunity. This will be fun. Now I just wish we could hear something positive regarding Misi and his back condition. Please we need an update!
This duo of running backs reminds me of the New York Giants. I love the combo of power and speed. It keeps defenses guessing.
In 1967 I was a student and Utah State when Syracuse paid a visit to Logan. In the backfield for the Orangemen were Floyd Little and Larry Csonka. USU had Altie Taylor , ( a lot like Eddie Wide), and Mcarther ( night train ) Lane.
Utah State won 28-27, it was a great experience watching the 4 future pros on the field.
Even now I enjoy watching a good duo in the backfield. Wide will compliment Asiata nicely, but Ray Stowers has always been under estimated. I know Stowers is a great blocker and that role in the backfield for the Utes will come in very handy in keeping some pressure off of the QB.
Just a few weeks.. YEAHHH
Go Utes.
Asiata reminds me of one of the best backs in state history, Harvey Unga. Unga just kind of powers his way past people and before you know it he's got 100 yards a game. Asiata isn't quite that good, but might be able to average 20 or 30 yards a game this year.
I cant hold it any longer or I will burst. The Utes running movements on the field will be fresh and clean. While the running movements down at BYU will stink.
I wouldn't call Utah's running game better than BYU's. Although I wouldn't call BYU's run game tons better than Utah's either. Both teams can run the ball well, just like both team can throw the ball well. Let's just leave it at that.
Cougie fan is obsessed with Ute football. Check out all these Cougie comments!! We're glad to have you, Cougie fan. More the merrier. I don't think the Utes will make another BCS run for you this year- but it should be good times anyway. Maybe the Utes will bring a third BSC bowl win to the state in the next few years. The first two were awesome!!
Go Utes!!
