It is inappropriate for this article to make a serious issue into a laughing matter. Prostitution is not a victimless crime. Not only does it frequently result in robberies such as the one in this case, it victimizes the whole community by introducing immorality, adultery, and dishonesty into society. There was a time in this Community when prostitution was not tolerated, and this article's flippant tone displays a distressing modern attitude that prostitution is no big deal.

in a very weird and sad way. I think if I was the one who was robbed by these three, for the sake of my ego, just let it go and learn from it.

I'm all for prostitution being legalized. It is basically a victimless crime. We all make our choices and those who choose to enter the world of prostitution simply make that choice. It's a business transaction and nothing else. I'd rather have someone visit a prostitute than end up going after someone else's wife, girlfriend, or daughter. There would actually be a lot less rape, adultery, and hitting on women if you could simply go and buy it. Get off your high and mighty morality soapbox and look at it for what it really is. Although I seriously doubt you could do that.

I don't see how the article made "a serious issue into a laughing matter" as a previous commentator said. The story itself is pretty straightforward - it's only when the reader imagines the victim's difficulties explaining how the whole episode started to the cops when it turns into something funny. If nothing else, this is a morality tale. Yup, it turns out that you can't trust a hooker any more than you can trust a legislator or a mortgage broker. Who knew?

Isn't engaging in prostitution a form of adultery? Hopefully you have never been a victim of rape or sexual assault but i can assure you it is more a crime of violence than a desire for sex.
