Why do we get a toxic waste for fluoride?

The dentists who are behind this lawsuit should be ashamed of themselves. They not only force fluoride down our throats against our will and to our detriment but sue people who have the good sense to reject their political pressure. I really hope this backfires on them - even if it is only negative PR.

Modern science indicates that fluoridation is ineffective at reducing tooth decay, harmful to health and a waste of money.

It's shameful that organized dentistry uses its political clout and deep pockets filled with corporate cash to intimidate good people from doing the morally (and scientific) right thing.

Legislators must mandate that dentists treat Medicaid patients - 80% of dentists refuse Medicaid. As a result, two little boys died in recent years from the consequences of untreated cavities. 6.5 million children on Medicaid have unfilled cavities.

It's too bad dentists spend so much time and money forcing fluoride into all of us and neglecting the people who need their care the most.

Individual dentists who don't condemn their dental unions for this are just as guilty.

While the rest of the world is rolling back this practice, American corporations using government, are promoting it. This is high negligence of science and the public good on behalf of the people they are supposed to represent. Fluoride is a poison. That is the reality. Last week the EU has ruled that any food product not made with filtered water will not be sold in Europe. That rules out most American food products. Why do we have this terrible disconnect in America?

The 'FDA has never approved any ingested fluoride product much less scientificly reviewed even the tablets dentists prescribe. AWWA b703-06 is the standard which lists a full page of toxic contaminates with arsenic and lead followed by many radioactive decay products. Unknown to dentists this is raw smokestack pollution scrubber toxic waste never processed or refined. The EPA ordered the phosphate industry to reduce destruction of cattle ,trees and crops across west central Florida. They then granted the industry the right to dispose of this toxic waste in the US drinking water supply being paid instead of paying thousands for ton for disposal. The last of Florida's 7 uranium recovery units was closed in Lake Wales in 1998 per AEC documents. These same factories had produced tons of uranium yellowcake as the phospate contains about 200ppm uranium. This might seen small but the the tons of rock processed is mega huge. So all this uranium once sold is now just left in the products or stored in huge mountains of radioactive gypsum. Like the Drywall from China.
11 EPA unions asked congress to halt
fluoridation in 2005 and a goal of ZERO just like arsenic and lead. think

Real science has never supported fluoridation. Polluting industries created the data or their money. Then the AEC had a huge investment in protecting against fluoride lawsuits as our WW2 Manhatten Nuke project required mega huge fluoride use as you can not produce U235 bomb grade uranium without tons of fluoride. They needed millions of tons and damage around production facilities had to be kept secret so they altered studies to prove (lies) fluoride was good. The Fluoride Deception by Bryson shows the government documents altered and these once secret documents were only released in 1996. The same Hodge Team for the Nuke program also devised the fluoridation test city studies to prove safety and benefit. The actual results proved neither but the publish results claimed huge benefits.
The Newburgh experment was designed by the same scientists that also devised the plutonium injection tests on unknowing patients to document kidney damage and people with brain cancer were even given lethal doses for more data the government needed. These families received average of 400,000 for each of the then dead human lab rats

If attorneys David Irvine and Janet Jensen had a heart and really wanted to help stop the fluoridation vote, they should have offered their work pro bono. Shame on you David Irvine and Janet Jensen!! Shame on them!! Goes to show the greed and bottomless pockets of the countless maniacs who push the fluoridation fallacy down our throats ... literally!!

It is criminal that he was awarded a dime. Between he and the former Board of Health Chair, Beth Beck, they lied to us. They lied about the fluoride product, the cost and the safety and effectiveness. My baby has been over-exposed to fluoride (just as the ADA and Center for Disease Control said they would in 2006) The dentist says he has seen an increased amount of fluorosis. I think we ought to counter-sue him for this bait and switch. Shame on the County Commissioners for caving into what amounts to extortion. I wonder if his cronies get a cut..Rep Sheryl Allen, Beth Beck, Lewis Garrett?

Where does the money for this settlement come from? I really hope it comes straight out of the Health Department budget. After all, they were the ones who shoved this down our throats. Maybe the Health Department director, Mr. Garrett should have to cut out some of the frills in his brand new Health Department building in Clearfield? I have to wonder which one of the commissioners met with Irvine privately and cut a deal prior to the actual amount being released? Closed door negotaitions? Maybe the promise of help in the re-election? Remember Irvine is a major player in Davis County politics. Watch for campaign contributions. See how generously he remembers his friends, who were behind him, every step of the way.

I don't remember anyone telling me my vote to fluoridate meant adding fluorosilicic acid, which is a hazardous waste, to the water supply. I looked up that substance on the web and followed the Chemical number, 16961-83-4 it is really, really nasty stuff. I pity the water operators who we have forced to be in the same room with this. I looked up fluoride and infant advisory. In addition to the CDC and ADA information, I looked carefully at all the comments on the fluoride over-exposure and risks to babies from mixing formula with fluoridated tap water. They say I should "go to my doctor or dentist who will calculate total exposure to fluorides". As I can't see fluoride content on any labels, how do you propose I do that, Mr. Irvine? Through gross misinformation we got from Utahns for Better Dental Health and Davis Health Department, we were suckered, our taxpayer dollars wasted and our babies, over-exposed. I can't say I wasn't warned. It looks to me the 'anti-fluoridationists" were right, after all. And now, Irvine laughs all the way to the bank. Anyone know a good lawyer?

Time to change your tinfoil. There is heaps and heaps of data and stats supporting the effectivity of flouride on tooth enamel. You conspiracy theory zealots just choose to ignore it. "The Government is trying to poison me"!! By the way, what do Dentist have to gain by poisoning the masses? If all they cared about was themselves then they wouldn't recommend flouride anyway since they'd have far more patients if no none used it.

Flouride is certainly toxic but at MUCH higher concentration levels than we would ever get in our drinking water. In fact, the toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, and other dental products that you probably use everyday have much more flouride than drinking water. You would have to drink something like 1000 8 oz. glasses of tap water with flouride per day to even come close to it being a concern.

jim - your pineal gland is too calcified to understand that that's where it collects over a lifetime...what it comes down to is, why drink any amount of a toxic poison at all??

Hitler's crew was definitely worried about the Jews dental health before signing the order to have them burned alive by the masses. I suppose saying flouride is only toxic in large amounts is the same as saying fire is only deadly in large amounts, but that does not make me want to burn my skin with 'small amounts' of fire. Little by little, everything has an effect on our body, and I say, if its not good for you, its bad for you. Are lead based paints on touched surfaces going to instantly kill you? Certainly not,but we can't have them on the playground eqipment.Flouride is the exception? Tell me WHY. Why would they care about my teeth anyway? Why don't they regulate toothpaste/toothbrush qualities,or pay for them? You know where flouride comes from right? Its a bi-product that the aluminum industry makes money off of by selling, instead of paying to have it disposed of. What a coincidence they found a great way to get rid of it at a profit!

Those who want industrial waste in their drinking water can purchase fluoride tablets but leave the rest of the communal water supply alone. We were never asked if we wanted fluoride in our water in the first place.
