Yewties are in TROUBLE!!!!!!!

Rick

Louks had a honor code violation that would put him in jail in the state of Utah.

Ute Nation

Best wishes in Reno, Louks. I appreciate your work as a Ute on the field, but I've been disappointed in your poor attitude.

You had all year to earn the #1 spot, but it appears your sense of entitlement overcame opportunism.

I have no doubt that you'll shine in the WAC. Please beat Boise State.

Ben White

wow.......I thought he would be ok with playing safety........well, best of luck and thanks for the good runs! Good luck out there!

Uh Oh

Can't blame him

I'd leave also. What junior wants to be No. 3 to an 18-year old?

Ernguy

Too bad. His only shot at the NFL would be at a position like safety. But he has to do what he feels will work for him. Good luck and thanks for what you gave the UTES....

Smart Move!!!

utes stink!!!!

If he's willing to transfer to UNR, things must really be tough at Utah. (Yes, I'm a UNLV grad.)

Can't blame him

Got to feel bad for the guy. He put in his dues and gets undercut by the new kid with less experience. Can't be fun for the staff to tell the guy he is third string.

Still, Nevada's QB is only a junior and will be around next year too. So even if he uses his redshirt on transferring, he may not play until 2011. Hope things work out for the kid. Good luck to Corbin. The Utes will be alright.

re: U

Trouble? Really? Do you know anything about college football? Or more specifically what has been going on up on the hill the last week?

Skip H

Louks' skills obviously aren't in line w/ what Coach Whit wants. I thought Louks would have been great in a 'Wildcat' or 'Scat-back' formation....but long-term, if he doesn't have the arm, he's not the fit.

Good luck and God speed Louks.

So, Rick

are you his parole officer or something? Don't you mean "alleged"? Unless you can provide some charging documents. If not, leave the dirty laundry out of the public forums.

Good luck, Louks, in the WAC. Go easy on Utah State, yeah?

Matt

Good riddance. We dont need anyone who is not about team. Foolish move in my opinion, as he had a real shot of playing on Sundays as a safety. He has NO chance as a QB.

Loyal Ute

I am sorry to see Corbin make this decision, but fully understand his feelings. Thanks for the hard work that you put into the Utah program and I wish you nothing but the best. Nevada is getting a first class football player. GO UTES!!

Forget the NFL

Louks lost any chance at the NFL when he lost the QB spot at Utah. He had two years as Brian Johnson's understudy, right? The huge lead he should've had on Cain and Wynn evaporated almost instantly, it seems.

I totally disagree with "Ute Nation", though. I believe it had nothing to do with work ethic or complacency. There's a difference between believing you're in the lead for the job and believing you're "entitled" to it. In the end, he did his best, but it just wasn't good enough.

Wow

Someone has a little too much lover for himself. I hate BSU, but I hope they give him a nice slice of humble pie. What happened to team loyalty and doing what's best for the team, eh Louks? What would Brian Johnson say? He probably had the potential to be an All-conference DB, now he'll be the starter on a team in the middle of a weak conference (having Bosie doesn't change the fact that the WAC is terrible). What a shame

Disappointed

He added a a crucial dimention that the Utes needed, hope KW didn't play his cards wrong. Even if you put him with the 2's for now, he stays. oOuld be a huge mistake, Louks is quite an athlete.

Boise State is Trembling

Boise is sweatin' bullets now that the Wolf Pack is coming to take them down.

I can't wait till BYU shows the Idaho boys how to play football next year.

Future Sundays

Corbin, I'm distraught that you've turned your back on our future plans. We both know it was never going to work out between us as long as you were a quarterback...

Sure, you're fast, but we both know you can't throw.

I was getting so excited to watch you play safety. I realize it would have taken you an extra year to learn the position, but that would be a small sacrifice to make for a potential NFL career.

If you work hard, you'll start in Reno in 2010 and 2011. From there, I'll look for you in the UFL, if it's still around.
