It is no sin under the Law of Zion (which the Church as a whole does not yet live) to make a lot of money. It is what we do with our surplus, or increase, that is not needed to cover our needs and practical wants. There are many options on the tithing slips which allow us to give our surplus. The widow was cited and blessed by the Lord because she gave out of the money for her needs. Where are the blessings in tithing out of our surplus?

Make the money, tend to your needs and a honest wants, donate the rest to the church. End covetness, build kingdom.

is not bad. It's what you do - or do not - with it, that can be a problem. Read the book "The Millionaire Next Door". Interesting read!

You may be right that in Zion it is no sin to make lots of money and obtain great wealth if you do it using your own resources. When it becomes a sin is when you get rich on the backs of the labor of others, or when like the giant corporation big wigs that do not own or have much of their own investment in the big corporation, but they milk it for giant salaries and bonuses for themselves at the expense of the share holders and the customers. Or they use their money and influence to pass laws to their benefit contrary to public interest. That is a sin.

I didn't know the Millionaire Next Door was scripture?

Some people sure are twisted in their loyalties!
