I can't begin to imagine the challenges of being a pagan in Utah.

You might be surprised. There is a very large and vibrant Pagan Community in the Salt Lake/Ogden/Provo area, which has been holding rituals and other public events for over twenty years. We are very proud of Ogden's second annual Pagan Pride Day; Pagan Pride Salt Lake is entering its eighth year, holding its event in Murray Park on September the 12th from 10 AM to 6 PM. Please come and share some knowledge and fun with us. And congratulations to OPPD on its second successful event, and to the Deseret News for nearly a decade of unbiased, non-sensationalistic reporting about Pagans.

As a vendor at the Ogden Pagan Pride and, and a practicing pagan, let me first congratulate the Deseret News on deciding to even publish news of this event. May I point out, however, that to my knowledge the opening ritual invoked the god Ra, not Rah. Purely a typographical error, I understand, but Ra is the main god of the Egyptian pantheon and I would not want your readers to be misinformed.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
