Nothing but a small afterthought of his serving "alongside thousands of bishops, Scoutmasters and Aaronic Priesthood leaders."
Wow, is that the best you can do?
The Scouting program is the activity program of the Aaronic Priesthood (USA and Canada).
Sadly the Scouting program is not in the greatest shape these days. President Dahlquest was working very hard getting things going in the right direction and sadly he was released.
President Beck has some mighty big shoes to fill. I just hope and pray that he listens to his First Counselor, Brother Gibson, the only one of the 3 in the Presidentcy who has any scouting experience.
To many it looks as though we went from a "first string team" to an "allstar" with a couple of "Rookies". At least President Dahlquest will be nearby to offer advice.
I pray that President Beck dosen't reverse all the good work that has been done before him.
It would sure be great to hear him say something specific about his support of the Scouting program.
