Problem Mr Nance did not address is the airline pilot profession has become a dumping ground for underachievers. Large gains in CRM, equipment and procedures have been offset by a significant decay in applicant aptitude. The destruction of pilot compensation packages renders the industry unable to attract and retain competent professionals. Let's hope the failure is not repeated in medicine.

The problem is that men are losing sight of the love of humanity and those who are blessed with professional talent no longer wish to be servants to mankind they now wish to be gods of profit and rich arrogant life styles.

True, but the real place to make profit is in and through politics and banking. When these are combined - look out! Whoops, too late.
