A big fat DUH.Of course there are LDS themes woven through out Card's work.That's great in many ways,because LDS "themes" are the pure essence of truth and direction for life.This guy also influences tender young minds directly,by teaching at the BEST LDS college in the country-SOUTHERN VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY.My sons treasured their time with him there.One has witten numerous books of which only one has seen print (Raft Of Medusa),but he credits Card as his inspiration.

Best LDS college in the US, hugh?? It may "LDS themed" but is by far IS NOT an LDS college. Is the school even accredited? Get you fact straight jack!

Of course Card infuses hisbooks with Mormon values. But I would stop short in saying he wants to change MORMINISM. I think he may want to change MORMONS - make us more aware and more sympathetic of the world around us. We tend to live in a walled-in community of like-minded individuals, and we need to be able to "look outside the box" of our sheltered existance.
