Oh! good grief! This is not news, and everyone dies sooner or later. Get off your old horses with the poor polygamist syndrome poop poop! Although,I was hoping to hear that it was Jeffs who had starved himself to the point of crossing over. Why not feel sorry for those women who deserve it, who were victims of these old devils. Nobody cares about some old perverted sex abuser.
Rest in Peace Arvin. Thanks for all the enlightenment and peace you brought to my life.
When I got to prison in August of 2001, even though I was (am) a polygamist, I had only heard of Arvin through the news stories. L.D.S Prison Chaplain, Matt Fellows, startled me by telling me that, "Arvin Shreeve is the most spiritual man I've ever met."
I later lived by Arvin, and helped get him working with me at the Greenthumb program where we grew flowers for the state. I could find no guile in the man. Who ever he may have been before he went to prison, he was certainly an inspiration to most who really knew him there.
And Arvin had forgotten more about plants than most people ever learn. He was a VERY valuable asset to our greenhouse program, and made (or saved) a LOT of money for the prison & the state of Utah. I know; I was the Greenthumb clerk for nearly six years.
Arvin talked with me about his upcoming demise with good spirits. I was sad, but he wasn't. He was optomistic.
God bless you, Arvin. You got released early. I know your next mission will be a good one. I love you.
