As I understand, this is not in fact, Utah's first BRT. The MAX, which runs from the 3300 South TRAX stop to Magna has been opened for a few years now.
The Max is not yet a full BRT, it does have stations and its own branding but does not have dedicated lanes. I believe those are in the plans however.
