Thank you for covering our camp program. It should also be noted that the Professional Fire Fighters of Utah sponsor this camp 100%. With out their ongoing support for the past 10 years this program would not be possible.
The staff of the University Burn Trauma Unit and the Professional Firefighters of Utah are authentic heros to those of us whose lives have been effected by these kinds of injuries. Watching them then go beyond "the call of duty" and give of themselves to the kids at this camp each year, is truly inspiring.
As a teen, one of my first jobs was as a housekeeper at the U of U burn unit. Seeing the dedication of the staff and the courage and fortitude of the patients impressed me deeply...good to know that there are places for them to hang out together and prosper pleases me deeply...nice story, and good work.
