These results say more about the Utahans surveyed than they do about President Obama's citizenship.

in other words

only ignoramuses think this isn't resolved. Everyone else either didn't know about it in the first place or accept the evidence as presented and accepted by the courts.

Sad. I think I smell sour grapes.

are you serious?

this is the same demographic thats all wearing the same tennis shoes and waiting for the cometship right?.....while complaining about pass interference at byu games....all while a dude wearing overalls plays dueling banjos in the background...sorry but you guys are absolutely delusional if you this will go anywhere.

Ammon Hennacy

Is Chief Justice John Roberts a closet birther? After all, he tried to sabotage the swearing-in of President Barack Obama on Inauguration Day.

2/3 of S Jordan believe this

2/3 of my neighbors believe this is the case and I am in an affluent area of South Jordan. It is their right to believe so even if you disagree.

Silly birthers

What kills me is the "just release his ORIGINAL birth certificate and the controversy goes away" sentiment that I keep hearing. Maybe he doesn't have the original copy his momma got after his birth. My kids don't have their original birth certificates either. I've had to replace one child's BC three times because I kept misplacing the previous copy. I tend to think that the President could release every single pertinent paper from his life and these wackos would still discount the evidence. Seriously folks, there are enough policies to fret about. Let's worry about real stuff.

As far I know

if your parents are citizens when you are born it counts, no matter where you are born. Ex: If your mom is a U.S. citizen and goes on vacation to England and goes into labor bringing you into the world, you are automatically a U.S. citizen, and you can still run for president. Correct me if I'm wrong.

THey should have asked up a follow up question to see how many people believed Hawaii is part of the fifty states. We are WAY too sheltered here.

Is it any wonder?

I'm sure a similar percentage of the state's residents have no idea what century they live in either.

Re: Shecky

What are you saying shecky? That Utahans be so stoopid. Utahans so stoopid. Me shecky. Me so smrt.

BTW - whether or not Hussein was born in Hawaii isn't the only issue... as a good little communist in training, Hussein was taken to Indonesia, where he attended public school. Why is this significant? Well, in order to attend school in Indonesia you must be an Indonesian citizen. Why is that significant, shecky? Since you're so smart maybe you should enlighten all of us stoopid Utahans. The reason is that the United States does not recognize duel citizenship with Indonesia. So in order for B. Hussein to become an Indonesian citizen he would have renounced his US citizenship. That means that when the little commy came back to HI he became a NATURALIZED citizen, not a NATURAL BORN citizen.

And for those of you who say this is not important, all you are saying is that the constitution of the United States is not important. And I'm sure many of you liberals will say/think that... Not surprising.

BTW - I am NOT a Republican.

Why is the media keeping this story going? It has been resolved. Try Elvis is alive and he carried out the world trade center attacks, because he knew we faked the moon landings.

Re: Anonymous

Yeah you smell sour grapes. Those grapes are mine. They went sour when a socialist was elected as president.

Some say there are more important issues to concern ourselves with. Ok. Let's talk about healthcare. I say the government should fix social insecurity and medicare before creating more monster government-run social programs. They can't make those things work, why should we trust them with healthcare?! Seriously people. WAKE UP!

They said the money for cash for clunkers would last through October... it lasted about four days!!! And we're supposed to trust/believe them on healthcare?

Birth Certificate?

Nah...I question Obummer's Character and his patriotism......Obummer lies so much, he makes Pinocchio look like George Washington!

typical Utahns

wool pulled over their eyes again.

I have a degree

from the U of U, I'm in my 30's, and when it is tax time I wish the IRS thought I was in a lower tax bracket. Why say that it is uneducated older poor people who have questions about Obama's birth? I do too.
But even if I didn't his politics are a mess. Maybe the unconvinced Utahns are hoping something will stop the madness.

uncannygunman

I don't believe it. Nobody is actually that dumb, I think they're just messing with the pollster for partisan amusement.

On the other hand, if one in three Utahns is actually that dumb, we have a pretty substantial stupidity crisis to deal with.

I just have to say -

The comment about being, "middle aged, low income" and uneducated, was a bit rude. I thought everyone in the US was allowed to have an opinion, not just young, upper class, college graduates. According to the Constitution "all men are created equal" right? What these statistics say to me is that there are a lot of people, not just in Utah, who don't trust President Obama, or the current political powers that be. Many of you say,"focus on the REAL issues at hand." I believe they are. It's those "real issues" that are causing so much fear and contention within the country. I believe it is possible that many who are standing up for the Constitutional rights, that we have as Americans, to be assured of our Presidents birth status, are standing up and hoping for a quick, easy resolution to the "issues at hand."

Hey Obama?

Which of the 57 States were you born in anyway?

Sarah

At least the entire world doesn't hate us any more. Now I can travel without being harassed thanks to Obama's 87% approval rating across the globe. Thanks president Obama!
