Nearly ALL residents of Idaho wish you Utahns would stay home on your side of the border. You come up here in droves and act like you own the place and are entitled. We don't call you "carrot snappers" for nothing. If Zion is so fabulous, why don't you stay in your Promised Land and leave us alone.

Wonder why the Nephites and Lamanites didn't also leave heiroglyphics written in "reformed Eqyptian"?

An Idaho Traveler

Nearly All you residents/business owners of Idaho make your tourist money from us Utahans. Quite a few of us donate to your powerball and other Idaho funding. I know that I have squinted my eyes when I see how much an my out-of-state fishing license is. So maybe you need a new appreciation for "carrot snappers". Don't bite too hard on the hand that feeds you. I know I am just as passionate about Idaho as I am Utah.

Salt Lake is still SE Idaho's capital. I can tell that by all the ID plates I see in downtown SLC shopping centers.

I've lived in Utah for 20 years, and I've never traveled to Idaho yet. With comments like the first one from Idaho Spud, I guess I am not likely to in the future. What does Idaho have that you can't get somewhere else where the people are a little more friendly?

Lived in both, like them both.

holy maloney, I just read a beautiful story about some of the most beautiful places in the whole u.s. of a. and decided to see how others felt about it on the blogs and walked into a buzz-saw. for a minute i thought i had jumped into a story about utah and byu sports. GEE's people smile once in a while and life will be better.

Having landed in Idaho at the age of three weeks nearly 80 years ago, I know most of the subject area of the state better than most of the natives. I have lived in nine states and now am in Utah because my kids love it. Nearly ALL the Idahoans I meet on my many trips back north are courteous and friendly. A few can be legitimately called "spud-chuckers" and make foolish remarks such as "carrot-snappers". Don't let them discourage you. Oh, by the way, if Logan didn't exist, most people ion Franklin County would be walking around in burlap sacks and riding in clunkers.

One of my ancestors was killed at Massacre Rocks.
