Remember, Respect is earned by respecting others.
Congrats to a person who recognizes when it's time to move on. It's undoubtedly a tough choice. In our Salt Lake Valley communities, there are at least two local chiefs of police who have managed to create extreme contention within the rank and file of their respective departments. Both are micro managers and obstructionists who lack the foresight and leadership skills to rally their troops. They act as if drunk on power and seem to prefer the perpetuation of dissention, confrontation, and double standards rather than fairness and good common sense. It's too bad that they can't follow the example of this perceptive chief from Logan. The public would be far better served.
So when is Chief Burbank of SLCPD going to follow Roper's example and step down?
Was the floppy disc, dumpster dive a set up to get rid of him?
Obey the oath.
