hahaha! I love your article!! Best thing I've read all day! I'm an anglophile too. All I'm lacking is a solid reason to move there.

Here's a suggestion from my hubby for a bad-boy name: Sean. Shawn, whatever.

According to him, every Sean he's ever known was a terrible person. He used a different word, but "terrible" pretty much sums it up. I didn't agree at first, but I looked back at all the Seans I've ever known and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them walked that penguin walk because their pants were on too low and they did drugs. Or maybe they were just a victim of their time. And mine. I don't know about the Seans in Utah or any of the Seans younger than 25 though...

Oh and Alec is so not a bad boy name. It's classy, I think. In the UK anyway.

Hyacinth Bucket? That cracks me up. You forgot to add a pronunciation guide to let everyone know its pronounced "Bouquet"

I watched that dumb show all the time. I had no idea about the gun dogs. I find that intriguing.

I was SHOCKED that "Zach" was not on the list for bad boys. I have never known a Zach that didn't qualify.

I think Kevin ought to be on the list. That name has been forever ruined for me because of my best friend's horrible, awful, MEAN older brother. Ugh!

Never name a kid Mike. They're nothing but trouble.Bad, bad,boys with no ambition. If you find an exception though, they'll be all the way at the other end of the spectrum.Two that we know are great guys and good doctors. They must have known they would have be over-achievers to make it.

My one and only son is named Alec. We loved the name for the same reasons in this article. I agree with some of the names on the list, but I would have never put Alec in that category.

My nephew's name is Sean and he is a great kid, my cousin is Zach and he is wonderful...me, I have never had any luck with David's...I just avoid them now.

I think the list was really a 'bad' boy-name list. Not a 'bad-boy' name list. And sorry, but when I think of 'Alec' the first thing that comes to mind is: 'smart Alec'. If my name were 'Alec' I would try to be dumb, because I would definitely NOT want to be known as a 'Smart Alec'! Why not just go with Alex? 'Alec is just Alex said by someone with a speech impediment!
