I'm so sorry he died and that his Dad had to attend to him under such sad circumstances. At least he knows he did everything humanly possible and that it truly was his time to go.
A blow to the chest can cause various types of fatal heart beats known as an "arrhythmia". Google "blow to chest causes fatal arrhythmia" for many examples. That is a very sad story, my heart goes out to the parents. I'm glad they were there and know that everything possible was done to save their little boy.
"for someone so young"? Yo can't be serious. I feel for this family, losing a child is never easy.
Very Very Sad. God Bless the Family and God Watch over Jeff.
For 30 years I responded to and witnessed the unusual to utterly incomprehensible; Accidents that would injure to take the life of a young person. it was usually no ones fault and no activity causing it. Sadly, accidents happen.
The picture of this find young boy shows a bright beaming smile, and a radiant countenance. Rest assured that his smiles are equal to any of the Angels of God, with whom he is fit to accompany. I'm sure he was wonderful blessing to his family.
Is there baseball in heaven? There must be if it is really heaven to a boy who loves the game. May he have a few great games while waiting for his family to join him at their appointed times.
May his family continue to enjoy games, too. Heal well.
What a fine looking young man! You can tell by looking in his face that he was happy. I wouldn't know you if I passed you on the street, but I can tell you as parents did a fine job raising him. God bless.
we love you and will miss you!! Peace be with your family, knowing that you were a great kid who people enjoyed having around.

Having lost a son a year ago, all I can say is I am so sorry. You now have a stronger reason to love your family and live in a way to be with Jeff again. You will find comfort and there will be peace and Jeff will ALWAYS be an example to your family. God bless you and your family. Respect and Honor to a great young man.

May I add, this story is really gotten to me,... I feel so bad for this kid..... If I had one passion, It was baseball!!!.... This story has really bummed me out:(
My son was also killed in a tragic baseball accident nearly five years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, and I know exactly what you are going through. My family and I have found comfort knowing that our son went quickly, and doing what he loved most. I have a strong feeling that our sons will meet, and maybe even play some ball. My heart goes out to you all.
When my wife told me she was had signed our sons up for baseball, I remember feeling worried that a flying baseball might hit one of them in the eye, and I wished she hadn't of signed them up.
Nothing bad like that happened, but if they are going to take baseball next year, she will have to sign them up, I won't do it.
Jeff was a very good boy. We are sure going to miss him. Families are forever.
I just wanted to say to the family that I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing a child. Thinking about it hurts. Just know that there are those that wish they could lift you and support you in your time of pain and sorrow.
What a horrible thing to happen. I'm very sorry for this family. No-one deserves to go through something like this.
We are so sorry for the loss, we know the family, and they are amazing people. It was his time to go, but how he is a missionary watching over his fmaily.
