Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium?! Never heard of such a thing! Was that the church's idea or the club's? If it's an annual event then okay, but what about other denominations? Do Catholics, Baptists, Jews or even Muslims get their own promotional nights? Strange times we live in...

Similar events have been held in Boston, Atlanta, and Phoenix that I am aware of. It is a marketing move by the clubs, they have all sorts of nights, Catholic, Jewish, Baptist, Muslim, and probably a night for drivers of general motors vehicles who are left handed.

This is an annual event just as is Mormon Night @
Disneyland. These traditions have been around for decades.

I'm sure other groups have "their" nights too @
Dodger Stadium and Disneyland.

Did any non-members get to audition?

I hope the gays protest this event.

I have to put up with my judgmental, hypocritical LDS brothers and sisters every day! When I go to a ball game or to Disneyland, I want to get as far away from "brothers and sisters" as possible!

It's all a matter of perspective. Some LDS are what you accused, But certainly Not ALL!! That would be a serious "Generality" to say "All".

It is sometimes great to get away as far away as possible from what's daily, routine, and boring.

However, if you live in California (or for that case anywhere but Utah and Southern Idaho) the LDS are definitely the "Minority". So in a "minority setting" like California, it's nice to share some events with other members of that same Minority.

A "Mormon Night" at a Jazz or Salt Lake Bees games
probably wouldn't make much sense, but to the
So. California LDS/Mormons it's a fun experience to be with a large number of those who share the same ideals and beliefs (other members of the same minority/family).

Thank You. Hope that you, Anonymous @ 11:36, can find Peace and Joy...
