We recently spent a week in Nauvoo - our first visit. It was an amazing experience. We loved all the productions and watched the pageant twice. What a wonderful place to spend some time. When we left we felt like we were leaving a little bit of our hearts there. We also visited Palmyra during the same trip and watched the pageant there twice. While it was HUGE and incredibly impressive and testimony building, our favorite was the Nauvoo pageant. It just seemed to capture the feeling and spirit that is Nauvoo. Thank you to all those who give of their time and means to make it possible.

We're headed to Nauvoo in about three days for the first time. Definitely looking forward to it!

Having been a part of the City of Joseph pageant family I can say that each night is a special night for both visitors and the cast.

Having grown up near Nauvoo, and lived in Nauvoo after my mission I can say to all it's a very special place!

Thanks for reminding me of all the good memories made in Nauvoo!
The Best Experience Ever | 11:51 a.m. July 30, 2009
This year I took my family to participate in the family cast for two weeks. It was the best experience our family has ever had. Testimonies come through a witness of the Spirit---a quiet whispering, a warm or tingly feeling, or an overwhelming feeling of love. Negative, angry, or contentious thoughts drive the Spirit away. Positive feelings, especially gratitude to our Heavenly Father for all He has given us, invite the Spirit. The Spirit warms our hearts and comforts our minds, letting us know that God lives, and that He loves us. The Spirit bears witness of truth.

While we were in Nauvoo at a testimony meeting for cast members my seven-year-old son began crying. I asked him if he was hurt, if he was sad, or if something was wrong. To all of these questions he answered, “No.” I asked if he felt good. He said, “Yes.” He said he had a warm, good feeling inside. He said he knew that it was Heavenly Father telling him that what he heard was true. I was amazed. This was not typical of my son. This experience helped to strengthen my own testimony. I know Heavenly Father lives.
