hey ute fans

SSSSSShhhhhh. lets keep this recruiting thing under wraps huh utes.....Kyle will make one great defensive cordinator in 3 years for us after all you "fans" have called for his head at the 8-5 u of who.

you guys in UT are fortunate

Mendenhall and Kyle are 2 very good, classy coaches, well suited to their respective schools' situations.

re: hey ute fans

On the other hand Bronco might make a great defensive coordinator for Utah after once again expectations have been pushed sky high and after a mere 10-3 season Cougar faithful are once again putting on T-Shirts that say "it is better that one man perish than an entire team dwindle in the mid majors without a BCS bowl invite".

Dave

Hey Harmon why don't you come up with an original article for once?? This article said nothing new from any article you have written over the past month or two. I can't wait until Heaps proves to be another average QB and all you Zoobs continue to look up to your Big Bro's for the next 4 or 5 years with continued jealousy!!

Hey, Dave ...

If you read it and you post, does it matter whether the article is original or not. Get a life.

To Dave,

Your inferiority complex is showing. (Ripping the Cougars everytime they're mentioned is a sure sign.)

Big Pete

Another indication that Riley Nelson will never be the quarterback at BYU. He was unwise to transfer there while on his mission. He should have waited until he got home to make his decision. How many outstanding Utah athletes sit on the bench their entire careers at BYU? Riley may well be one of them.

Hey Dave why don't you come up with an original comment for once?? This comment said nothing new from any comments Ute trolls have written over the past month or two. I can't wait until Heaps proves to be another stellar QB and all you Utes continue to look up to your Big Bro's for the next 4 or 5 years with continued jealousy!!

And with any luck, he'll make some humble comment about trying to do the right thing and drive you beyond hysteria.

JOHN WALSH

this heaps thing is starting to look like the second coming of john walsh.

and walsh never scheduled his own press conference.

Dennis

Dave, if you do not like Harmon's writing then I suggest that you read something else. Maybe Alice in Wonderland. As for me I have always liked Harmon's articles.

U Weep

And Jonny Harline is STILL open!!!

Howard S.

BYU and their recruits are surprisingly good. Can't wait for them to surprise us on the field.

Edward C.

It's not a question of 'if' but 'how many' national championships these recruits will win at BYU.

They are that good.

HeyUte

Highly doubtful Heaps will be average...but for your Utes sake you better hope so. It could be a loooong 4 years for you.

Would love to read

what the Ute comments would be if Heaps had selected the "U" to play for.

VERY IMPRESSIVE! that he was selected MVP at the camp in Calif.

Looks like Heaps intends to let his play to all the talking.

MH

Nice article Dick except based on the title I would have thought it would be a little more about recruiting and a little less about Heaps. Hope he turns out to be everything you write about him, after all you have set expectations very high among the Courgar Nation. But I am still anticipating the two articles you always write about this time of year. The first is the one where you downplay expectations for the defense, i.e. they're inexperenced or injured or some other lame excuse for failing to match the offense in results. And the second article is always about how much longer Mendenhall will be at BYU given all the interest in him from other programs around the country. Honestly I have never heard his name seriously mentioned by any media outlet (except you) regarding another program. I know fall camp hasn't started yet and maybe you are waiting for then to rehash the same articles but I do wait with anticipation. Remember,
Magic Happens!

Should not be surprised

I don't know why anyone would be surprised by this. Once every few years, there happens to be blue chip LDS football player who signs with BYU. It has happened before, and it will happen again. Let's be real - it wasn't lovely Provo or Bronco or LES or the 1984 championship that got Heaps. It was the simple fact that BYU is his Church's school.

These signings are not surprising in the least. As the Church grows in membership, I expect that these signings will be more frequent.

Hey Dave....how bout you get a life. Your comment shows your lack of education and just how lame Ute fans are. Jealous of a couple good seasons? Out of how many losing ones? Take it easy Davo, you squeeked by some average teams last year and yes you went to a BCS game and beat an uninspired Alabama team. Congrats, but don't get carried away.

to Shhhhhhhh

Maybe you should SHHHHHHH. Last year the Utah football team beat BYU, won the conference championship and was invited to, and won, their second BCS bowl game in very impressive fashion.

Are you for real or are you a Ute Troll trying to make BYU fans look dumb? I suspect the latter.

Let's wait to talk smack when we have something to talk about.

Nevada Blue

I was thrilled last year for Utah.

I am a died blue in the wool BYU fan and if BYU goes undefeated this year but Utah falls to Oregon; and TCU loses to Clemson and/or Virginia; and Colorado State falls to Colorado; and San Diego State is embarrassed by UCLA; and Air Force loses to Minnesota; and New Mexico loses to Texas Tech and Texas A&M; and UNLV loses to Oregon State it will not matter that BYU goes undefeated or if Utah goes undefeated or if TCU goes undefeated they will not go to ANY BSC bowl because the Mountain West will look weak. Boise will get to go again or maybe even Nevada.

And may my Nevada Wolf Pack kick the snot out of Notre Dame and Missouri. And may every team east of the Mississippi lose.

Utah's slaughter of SEC powerhouse Alabama sticks in the throat of EVERY SEC team fan and I love it even though I never want Utah to ever win another game against BYU.

Stop acting like fools and support the teams that will benefit YOUR team.
