I couldn't do it.

What?

With everything going on in today's world, this is what our congress keeps themselves busy?

and

this is news worthy = NOT it is time we put sports down the list of importance

confused

wouldn't shutting down the government for a day or few hours to save wages had been better spent time than voting for congratulaitng the champions of a business the nba?

re: and

Actually, we should put more time into it. It seems that only in sports, countries who have been at war engage in friendly competition. Blacks, whites and Hispanic play and work together for a common goal. Where else does that happen?

Thorvald

I'm glad they are putting politicians to good use.

I think Chaffetz

would rather have been at the Rally at Utah Capitol tonight. At least he had a representative there.

Limit Honoring Resolutions

Democrat LEadership ought to limit the number of "resolutions" that Congress considers to no more than a half-dozen a year... for those really deserving. These overpaid, overexposed NBA players of any team -- don't deserve formal recognition of anything. IT's just politicians pandering to garner the spotlight along with the team. It's disgusting. Honor Mother Teresa, honor our fighting men and women and medal of honor winners. But quit spending time and tax money on these worthless resolutions. Chaffetz, you're supposed to be different and want to cut waste. Why not here? Put your money where your mouth is!

I would rather die than do that. And why are they wasting our money on crap like that? They have nothing better to do...

Remember when the Lakers eliminated the Jazz from the playoffs again?

Same old, Same old

Chaffetz is just another two-timing politician. This just proves it.

Jazz Fan

Chaffetz is a fruit just like Rocky Anderson!

Superdell's taxpayer paid lawyer

Chaffetz is ok with wasting taxpayer money on this?

Winning teams make winning moves. Get rid of Booz and Kiri pronto and throw in the hasbeen coaches for a sweetner. Time for some 2009 basketball, the Jazz need shooters and defensive stops in the middle. Can Koufas help the middle, he was OK until they shipped him out to the minors. He hustles and plays defense. Okur is sunk in mud on the 3 point line and Milsap is too small. After the defense is settled, who is our shooter? Williams can play 2 guard, if we had another point. The team needs filling out. Firstly, get rid of the bums.
