Arturo is such a great guy and an awesome working, arturo is a friend and co-worker of mine. He doesnt let his so-called disability set him apart from the rest of us, from bowling to playing pool, working and running his own business he can do it all, even riding a scooter. Way to go "A.B" you are an inspiration to all of us. It just goes to show just because someones different they can do everything we can just in a different way. Oh if you see him ask him if he wants to wrestle you will be suprised at his answer.

A high five to Noodles & Company for employing A.B.

Next time I'm in Utah, I'm heading on over to Sugar House to give them my business. May they be absolutely swamped with business in the meantime, and may AB's fame be spread far and wide.(and may Noodles give him a generous raise.)

This is a great story. I would hope that all of us would openly welcome persons with disablity, not look at them as different, and full appreciate their contributions. Never underestimate anyone.

Way to go scoot!!!! You can also see him at tesoro where he is a member of management after almost four years!!!

It really is about attitude. A.B. could easily find a reason to throw in the towel. But he chooses to make life what he wants it to be. Many of us who really don't have any limitations choose to put limits on ourselves out of pity or laziness. I hope this story can inspire many who are looking for that extra something to make it in a world that seems a little crazy.

Thanks A.B.

For not sitting home feeling sorry for yourself. Great story!!!!

What an outstanding individual. It is not easy to overcome physical disabilities especially when others treat you with such disregard and no respect. Way to arise above all the negativity in this world and prove to everyone that you have a great purpose in life and are a contributing member of our society. We could all take a lesson from this man and make ourselves better. Thanks for sharing your story.

Loved this story -- love your column every week, Cathy. Thanks for writing about such inspirational topics. They're desperately needed in a world full of dreary headlines.

Just the kind of story I needed the moment my own attitude was flagging. Thanks, Arturo, for reminding me that no matter what cards you've been dealt, you can always find a way to make things work.

I live near the Noodles A.B works at, and have been there several times while he is working. He truly has a great attitude and is an amazing example!

I used to live in Sugar House and I have been to that Noodles and Co. multiple times and I tell you, I am amazed every time I walk in the door. I have never seen a cashier work with such speed and courtesy before. I have never known his story, but he definitely makes the world a brighter place. I'm glad I got a chance to see a real hero show me how to beat back adversity.
Thanks. | 9:57 a.m. July 23, 2009
I needed this today.

I'm definitely going to drop by Noodles & Co. now to tell A.B. "good job!" Thanks for this column. It's a nice switch from all the bad economic news we've been reading about for months.

I love these kinds of stories!!! We need more of these in the news to make people feel good. You are an inspiration A. B. Keep up the good work!!!
counting my blessings | 12:01 p.m. July 23, 2009
Loved the story!! AB, thank you for the inspiration! These days, too many people think the world (or the government) owes them a living. You show us what one can do with a "can do" attitude. On top of this wonderful story, it has been S-S-O-O refreshing to see nothing but positive and wonderful comments regarding it. Giving a challenge to all commenters to do this more often on more stories!

I agree with "Counting my Blessings" and everyone else who has written in about this column. It's wonderful to see all of the positive comments, and it was even better to open my paper this morning and read such an inspiring story. Many thanks to AB for telling his story and to Cathy Free for writing it!

Arturo used to work for us at our fast food restaurant and he was fantastic. I lost track of him a few years ago and was so glad to read this story.

We need more stories like his, instead of sports stories where the athletes are always wanting more money. What a great person with a great attitude.
