Wonderful

What a wonderful display of love, dedication and good will. The Choir has blessed lives around the world with their absolutely inspiring musical talent. Thank you for all you do to lift us up. May you perform for 800 additional years.

Thank you choir!

Happy Anniversary! What an inspiring program. It is truly the world's most capitivating and most inspiring half hour radio show. May God bless you all!

I was at the Friday concert. What a remarkable choir. The African-American spirituals and the Battle Hymn of the Republic were my favorites. The organ solo was spectacular. I can't wait to go again.

Music and the Spoken Word has been a source of beautiful music and inspiration throughout my life. I watch on television now, but remember as a child listening with my mother and siblings on the radio, as it was the only media available. It as been years since I was able to attend in person either a Choir rehearsal or broadcast, but I am making plans to do so. I missed the Choir concert in Kansas City due a family situation and regret it very much. The Choir is a beautiful representative of Heavenly Father and his church. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment.

Brother Chuck Schroeder

I'm a little concerned that people who watch the Choir get the impression that only white people are members of the Church. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Our Church is very diverse in terms of cultural and racial diveristy. I wish the Choir's make-up would accurately reflect our diverse membership.

To "Brother Chuck Schroeder | 10:49 a.m." If you want the choir to reflect the diverse membership, then encourage talented people from non-white backgrounds to try out.

Chuck Diversity

The Choir also does not include people under the age of 25 or over 60. Maybe people will think that there are no children or elderly people in the Church. And what about people who can't sing? Maybe we should have a few of those so people won't think everyone in the Church is musically talented.

Nearly 1% of Choir members are black, but that's not too bad for the Wasatch Front. Maybe they should fly people in from other locations two or more times per week to achieve true diversity. By the way, just how do you determine the "cultural diversity" of Choir members by hearing them sing or seeing them on TV?

Would you propose that race or culture be a consideration when auditioning people for the Choir? How is that any different than considering race or culture when allowing someone to join the Church or be ordained to the Priesthood? Any worthy Church member who fits within the age and distance restrictions can try out for the Choir. Caring about the skin color of Choir members (or Church members) is, by definition, racist.

Diversity

Get over yourselves. There are minorities in the Chior. So quit screaming racism. Open you eyes and you will see the wicked that have become white and delightfulsome and now blend in very well with the white folk.

Wow

How did these comments turn hostile, or turn into a forum on racism? I don't think Brother Schroeder's comment was meant to offend. Why do people have to blow everything out of proportion? Why can't we just focus on the beauty of what the Choir does, as did the first few comments above? Thank you to those who did. And kudos to the Choir for such a success!
