Blatter's name should be "blather." He's wants MLS to take on the NFL? The NBA? College football? Soccer in Chicago and New England in the dead of winter?
Summer is the right season for soccer in the U.S.

Only an idiot would suggest the MLS play during the winter. Let's play in Chicago in January! Fun! When weather is bad fans don't show for soccer (or baseball). Soccer is a warm weather sport. The cold alone would kill attendance. Let alone you would be taking on college football, NFL, NBA, and college basketball. In the summer you only have baseball and soccer. The MLS will survive having a few missing players now and then.
