Live healthy, avoid health care | 5:10 a.m. July 18, 2009
The best solution from a consumer point of view is to live in a healthy way, making health care largely unnecessary in most cases.

This will foil politicians, lawyers and doctors. The best doctors will survive, and their education may be cheaper too, as the forces of supply and demand, without compulsory means, will reduce costs.

Dr. Cramer has said something that I have long thought about this whole healthcare thing when he says, "But handing insurance cards to the 46 million will not fix the problem." What we need to be pushing is healthCARE for everyone, not just medical insurance. Just because you have insurance doesn't automatically mean you get healthcare, let alone good healthcare. My daughter and son-in-law have a dedicated savings account for healthcare, plus catastrophic insurance. This seems like a good alternative, but will it be done away with when the government forces everyone to have insurance? My other daughter and son-in-law both have pre-existing conditions which keep them working at the jobs they have because if they try to get new insurance with a new company they will both surely be denied.

We raised a family without insurance. We always paid cash, which, by the way, often got a discount from the doctor or hospital. Insurance costs make doctors and other healthcare providers charge more because it costs them so much to file claims. The only ones who will actually profit on this deal are the insurance companies, even though they cry wolf.

Doctor, doctor.. don't you know this is the Obama administration and the debate is OVER! We need not discuss how to go about this CHANGE everybody voted for, rather, we need to get in lock step and behind our dear leader! Only he knows best what to do about everything. He is, after all, our Professor President.
