Classy guy. I'm pretty thrilled to see him stay in a jazz uniform.
Price is now the weakest | 12:53 a.m. July 17, 2009
link on the Jazz team. He will be playing 10 crucial minutes a night where the 2nd team needs to hold on or move ahead. If DWill gets hurt the Jazz are in real trouble.

Maynor is not going to be ready to run the team for a while.

I have no problem with Price as 3rd PG. However, I was not impressed with the way he ran the team early last year when DWill was out.

I am hoping Price learned a lot about how to run a team last year. If he is successful the Jazz will be much more efficient.

Price just needs playing time ... I believe he will improve if given the opportunity.

Will he make a few bonehead plays that might cost he Jazz a few games? Ya probably ...

Way to go Price | 7:17 a.m. July 17, 2009
I hope he has a great upcoming season.

You know what I like about Price? He's got fire. I was very impressed with him in the playoffs. I'll take a player with fire that makes a few bad plays any day. You can teach a young player new skills, but that desire is nearly impossible to instill.

Both Sloan and Price know what's expected this year after that Jazz-Lakers game.

Hopefully, Ronnie can produce consistently. Even if he can't score consistently, consistent energy on the floor is what's needed as D-Will's backup.

Maybe with more playing time, Price can learn how to properly run a team. He'll have competition for that from the new kid, who does seem to know how to get assists.

Ronnie is as good of a person as you'll ever meet. His basketball talents are only overshadowed by his nice personality.

KFAN and 1280 both said Price was gone after the Jazz drafted Maynor because they were only going to carry two point guards. What? Since when?

Nooooooo credibility.
Price Weak? 3PG? | 8:51 a.m. July 17, 2009
Obviously you don't know much about basketball. Price and D-Will are the only two on the team that can get there own shot when they want to. Also, Price can get to the rim any time he wants. By the way do you think its easy running Jerry's offense?

RE: Sports talk yahoos.. They didn't say he was gone because of 2 point guards. 1320 said he was likely gone because of his price. They thought it was a good possibility Jazz would bring up Krueger from the DLeague @ $500,000
Miles | 10:14 a.m. July 17, 2009
Kruger is a much better point guard than Price. Much cheaper too.

WE are extremely thin on backup PG talent and ability to run sloans system. Whether you like the system or not it is what we have and the fact that Price and Maynor struggle with the complexity of it for whatever reason is scary.

Getting the rest of the players into their sets and positions and delivering the ball on the dime and timely is tough to do despite the fact D-Will makes it look easy.

I sure hope D-Will does not get injured.

Price is a great person and I love his desire--excellent team guy to have but he struggles since his natural position is a scoring 2 guard.

Hope for the best I guess

Locke said Price was gone because the Jazz could not afford to keep three point guards, as O'Connor and Sloan said they were. As usual.

It is funny what people choose to see when watching a Jazz game. Does D-will make mistakes? ya, all the Jazzmen do at some point in the offensive sets. Some plays are designed for the players to read the defense and make decisions based on the situation. The PG takes the blame, most of the time, when someone decides to back cut instead of run off the pick. So don't sit here and beat up the backup PG's. Most people posting on here are spectators, as I am, but come on people. Price is a good fit, knows the offense, and has the fire to work his but off on defense. We boo Boozer for not being loyal, and only wanting the $$$, he Price is loyal to the jazz, and wanting to stay and play here and everyone likes to beat him up. I say this is a no brainer with Price, he makes the team better, not worse.

Price is a gem, give this guy a couple years of experience and playing time, and he will demand some playing time. This guy can play...he's already better than Boozer because he actually plays.

Jazz started ok last season with Price running the offense for an injured D-Will... Compare that to how they ended the regular season and the playoff's without Price's heart, energy and desire in the game! I hope Jerry gives Ronnie the chance he (Jerry) said that he screwed up on last year... come on coach, gotta do a better job this year. Your set rotations are not cutting it!

Re: Price is now the weakest:

You are confused Price played behind Knight all year long. If you think back to year before last after Price won the backup job from Hart he had some outstanding games after he got his confidence up.

As for last year Sloan totally ruined his confidence, you can't come in for 3 or 4 minutes every 3rd or 4th game and expect to light it up.

I look forward to the excitement he brings and have a great feeling he will be coming in confident and will be dropping three's again.

I think he showed in the second half of the last game with the Lakers what we were missing most of the year. Energy, attitude and a won't back down from anyone. Love the kid, great backup to Deron. I think this well be his best year yet. Good bye Brevin.

Price did a very good job running the team when D-will was out. We were above 500! Sloan needs to play him and D-Will at the same time on occasion, similar to how D-Will played the 2 spot at time with the Olympics.Let Brewer play the 3 spot, Booz and/or Millsap at the 4, and Okur/Koufas/K-Fes at the 5. By the way, Okur is just as much a Defense liability as Booz, if not more. CJ and Korver can backup the 2 and 3. AK can backup the 3 and 4.
