D&C 110:12,13; Josephs' vision of Elijah and Elias. Elias is the Greek word or New Testament translation of Elijah,Joseph was unaware of the modern translation, they are the same person. Example The Old Testament prophet Jonah is Jonas in the New Testament.

I have been curious about (D&C 42:73)"And the Bishop, also, shall, receive his support,or a just remuneration for all his services in the church."

D&C 7:1-3 ,John the Beloved shall live until the Lord comes.
A comentary would be interesting

The names Joshua and Jesus are actually the same name, and yet, somehow, they're different people.
Elias may translate to Elijah, but that doesn't mean it's the same person. Furthermore, Elias, like Christ, is more of a title than a name.

:The names Joshua and Jesus." Jesus is the is a (Greek) transliteration of the Hebrew. meaning Jehovah is salvation,Jesus is the New Testament name for Joshua,Yeshua and Jehovah, same person.
Christ is a Title,Old Teatament=Messiah or The annointed one,New Testament,(Christos) Christ.
Elias is the Greek for Elijah. In Greek there is no letter j or h,there is the sound. A working knowlege of Greek is helpful in understanding the Scriptures.

What makes you think there is only ONE person named Elijah or Elias?

DO you realize how popular the name JEsus was in Jesus time?

talk about silly worthless nitpicking just to find something on which to attack Mormons and their beliefs,

by greeec was not the far waway,

just as mexico and canada are not that far away from the US.

if someone in the US gave the name of Juan or jaques/jack/ian/ivan/johan instead of John, does mean they are from another country?

We can share names!

parent give varients of names to children all the time,

perhaps some isreali game theor child a greek variant of a name,
