I thought the Logan police chief said it was the fault of a natural spring, not the canal, case closed, no investigation.

I bet the canal owners aren't happy about this.

I am.

Say what you will about politicians, but he secured a large amount of funding, he did it quickly, and it looks as if we'll have answers as well as a resumption in irrigation services. It's nice to see that some of our elected officials take the time to follow through despite a very busy schedule in Washington at this time. Thanks Senator!

This is a good result. Amazing, though, how the GOP and its followers are happy to take federal dollars for their own purposes. Can we stop the harping on federal spending for other states when we take it for our own purposes? Yes, there are bad projects (like the F-22 that should end but for pork barrel hypocrites like Rep. Bishop), but there are good ones, and that's what the common good is all a bout. Thanks, Senator Bennett.

Bennett

Bennett brings home the bacon!!!! Must be a liberal stinking democr... er, what? He is a what? A republi... are you sure?

The question here is who should be paying for the canal. Somehow I don't think it is the federal government, nor any government.

What this appears to be is political payback. If the canal operators are responsible for the canal's failure then a huge wrongful death lawsuit will be filed, along with lawsuits to recover the property damage. If by some miricle the failure is not the fault of the canal owners, then I will bet that no one sees a penny.

Thanks Senator Bennett

Bennett

Can you tell Bennett is up for reelection, and trying to buy votes.

Barbara

Vote out the RINO's,the GOP must return to Conservatism and that amount of money is not Conservatism.
