A good spank, is an excellent attention getter, the reason your child screamed,
is she found out other people will not tolerate another new member of the local
Hitler Youth!

Congratulations on being the better person and holding your tongue. Who hits
someone else's kid? Breathtaking.

People should NOT discipline other people's children when the parents are
right there unless there is a threat of life or limb and it is clear that the
parent is not going to step in. Your relative was WRONG to step in like they
did.

I wouldve spanked them back! The only one who can pat my kids bottom is mom and
dad. I would definately call them later and calmly explain they really stepped
over the line by takin it upon themselves to discipline your kid. Better yet if
its your Husbands family make him do it. Its not startin a fight its letting
them know you are not puttin up with other people telling you how to raise
junior. Tell them its your job and if they have a problem to bring it to you and
only you or dad.
