Okay, after he beat her up, she left her dog with him... why???
Maybe she moved out and couldn't find a place that would allow the dog?
Actually, based on the headline ("Man charged with hurting girlfriend, puppy has court dates"), I wanted to see why the puppy had several court dates....
I've heard that Spidle is the first adult to be tried under Utah's new animal cruelty law. I'm shocked he let this go to trial b/c I know he was working with the DA on a deal back in May/June. A jury trial. Well, that should be interesting.
Because she was so beaten by him, I believe she might have left the puppy with him as she was not thinking clearly. Obviously, not all those who are traumatized make good decisions after life threatening incidents.
As far as the puppy, this pure, innocent, living being had NO CHOICE but to be in the way of a sadistic sociopath since Gabriella couldn't open the door to run away.
This is the beginning of Spindle's trail of blood and tears. He MUST be incarcerated to protect the rest of society. He is a serial murderer in the making. His glaring choices of sadism and violence put everyone at risk. There must be consequences for this heinous deed!!!!
