I live in Logan and everyone in the community are very concerned about all the families affected. Our prayers are with all of you. To the workers involved in this process now our thoughts are with you.

The local media in Logan have to stop trying to affix blame until there is enough information to know what caused this.

The locals are getting tired of hearing question after question about who should have known of the danger and who should have notified everyone.

So far the City, USU, and UDOT have all been implicated by the local media with no data to back up any such speculation.

Quit trying to stir up controversy until we know something.

I was up there on vacation last week and we ended up driving by the church were a command center appeared to be set up. What an awsome sight to see so many people helping out. My prayers go out to the family and community. God bless.

I offer my thoughts and prayers to the families that have been affected by this. For those that are struggling now to get their homes together again, may everyone stand by you and offer a helpful hand.

This is such a tragic event, and we want the family to continue to know of our support and love in their great loss. They seem to be comforted in knowing this is not the end for their loved ones.

Such bravery and sacrifice have been demonstrated by those workers who care very deeply as well. Tragedies and accidents, sadly, do happen. Hopefully this horrendous event will teach us something, but meanwhile, let's not add to the pain and try to blame those who never predicted this.

The canal system has been the lifeblood of the region but with the population explosion isnt there a better way to manage our "gray" water. I believe a thorough media investigation is warranted now that more than property has been destroyed. The canal behind our property still flows unabated while my neighbors have a pipeline protecting their land but only after a media frenzy a few years ago.

I used to live a little further west at 590 Canyon Rd., and walk home south of USU campus down that hill where the mudslide occured. It's painful to even imagine all that earth coming down and taking out a home and extinguishing lives. My deepest sympathies to the Leavey-Alanis family.

Our daughter and son own one of the homes flooded during this horrific event. We are so grateful for those who made their way through the mud to help everyone affected. Were it not for their assistance it would have affected many people far worse than it has. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Leavey/Alanis families and those who have lost so much. So many people have been forever changed, both victims and rescuers alike.

How do you find the words to express to all that are affected by all that has happened in Logan. First of all, my heart goes out to the family, I hope that they will find comfort in this time of loss. My heart goes out to the neighbors and community, this had to be very heart wrenching. And also my heart goes out to the rescuers, I do not doubt the anguish they felt in searching and then finding. I hope that the people of Logan, with the support of church and community leaders will be able to heal from this tragedy.
