I wonder if Gene's blue spruce are still growing at Weber State? There was Gorges store with the barbecued chicken. Once they had a great selection of penny candy. Then and the old store on Harrison and 24th Street.
My father always talked about the fries at Utah Bottling Works. What was that Rainbow place that had the swimming pool up toward Ogden Canyon.
I noticed this paper's article on Taylor Canyon. Once the locals called Taylor Canyon, Railroad Canyon.
Once we had villages. Ogden was a nice village for my family to grow up in. Once my father did cartoon's for the Ogden Standard. He was still going to Ogden High: "The million dollar school with a two bit student body." This is what they once said if you went to Washington High.

Ah, I love seeing failure at ND!!!!

They need a serious crack down, and adopting the "Rudy Guiliani strategy" where even minor offenses are prosecuted and obscure ordinances are enforced so that NO criminal activity is tolerated.
That requires serous enforcement by the cops, and especially the prosecutors and the judicial system, and the jail and prison systems.
Cross deputizing Ogden cops to enforce immigration laws as allowed by SB 81 would be one tactic among many to consider.
Too hard to do? Well, then we can look forward to a continuation of the steady stream of violent crimes in Ogden, which deters investment and scares away shoppers.
