Why don't we feign not having learned anything from vietnam and stick around for a while?

Release the Gitmo prisoners in Baghdad the same day all the U.S. troops return home. This way, Obama can rest assured that the Iraqi war was never won and he can begin to apologize to the Iraqi people.

P.S. Send Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Franken, and the Clinton's over to Iraq without any security and let them walk the streets of Baghdad. Lets hope they never return.
new GOP talking point | 9:38 a.m. July 11, 2009
Is this some sort of new GOP talking point?
It meets the criteria:
A) no logic to it whatsoever
B) like incoherant babbling while on oxycontin
C) offers no solution to the "problem"

The liberals you so despise have been saying for years that things in Iraq were more complex than the Bush administration was saying. The things referred to by the writer support this. Did our occupation create a peaceful democracy? NO, and having one will be up to THEM, as it should have been all along.

fortunatley the Bush admin and the military didn't listen to Harry Reid or King Obama before the surge, or we would have left the country in even worse shape. The left has been out for defeat from the get go. they have done everything in their power to give the U.S. a bad name around the world and then act like the world doesn't like us, because?

So funny. LMAO with this comment.

Just think, if you could ship all the commie, pinko, homosexual-loving, liberal, socialistic, tax-and-spend, psycho wimps over there, we could clean up America of all the filth and atheistic garbage that pollutes our God-fearing land.

Then you can live your fantasy forever!

Even George W. Bush was against the surge until his generals made him change his strategy. First, he was forced get rid of Donald Rumsfeld and stop saying "We are winning" and ignore Dick Cheney's remarks about the insurgency.

If you're going to discuss the Iraqi War timeline, get your facts straight.

With comments like "The [L]eft has been out for defeat from the get go. " we could as easily say "The Right just wants to bankrupt the nation by borrowing like a madman from China and send men and women off to die just so American can push its weight around the world stage."

Your words are shear nonsense!

You could easily say it,

but you'ld be wrong.

Let me know when your rations are running low, I'll make a trip to WalMart (I know you shop there) and bring you some food. That way, you'll never have to leave your bunker or deal with the real world.

Doug: Iraq wasn't our problem or fight to begin with.
Why are we even there? Projections put the cost to this war (past & future spending) at $3 trillion.
I can assume you're one of those repugs upset with Obama's stimulou spending package.
Ask yourself why you support spending much more money in Iraq but not in our own country.
Who's the patriot?

@ Ernest T Bass

Neocons don't think that way. Every time you bring up the Iraq subject or Bush spending their eyes just glaze over and repeat LIBERAL MEDIA, SOCIALISM, BUSH ROCKS, AMERICA RULES!

"Neocons don't think that way. Every time you bring up the Iraq subject or Bush spending their eyes just glaze over and repeat LIBERAL MEDIA, SOCIALISM, BUSH ROCKS, AMERICA RULES!"

In case you haven't been watching, the media made a big fuss over Michael Jackson all last week, why is it that a pedophile is classified as a "HERO" and the real "HERO's" are fighting those that want us dead???

Keep drinking the kool-aid and listening to your "BEAT IT" music. The media is the FAR LEFT, even if you're to ignorant to see it with your own eyes.

The 8:10 post is proof that the Right is able to connect ANY two things in the universe in order to try to make a point. Throw in the shopworn insult about Kool-Aid and you have earned the right to feel like a "Great American".
