Obama will probably start his groveling act. He has no backbone, and he ia our elected President.

Maybe Medvedev could put in a missile shield system in Cuba, protect us from Hugo.

The last democrat to rule the White House with a backbone was FDR. Obama to some has one but to one who has been around the world enough knows that he is more talk than action. Clinton was in the White House when the embassies were attacked by Al Quada and did nothing. That was an act of war. I believe that when we play politics with the lives of service men and women has happened so often since the end of WWII then we have a problem. Nixon got us out of Vietnam after a disastorus military defeat, yet Ford failed to act when Vietnam fell. Carter played politics and cost us the lives of many service men because of them. Reagan didn't play politics and protected our interests in South and Central America. Today we still are threatened by Cuba and other South American countries. There was a time that we would never have allowed any outside interference any where in the Americas. When will we readopt the Monroe Doctrine to ensure our interests are always protected. Not in this life time I'm sorry to say.

To say that Obama has a backbone is laughable. All he has done since he was elected is apologize to the nations that hate us, reveal his propensity toward naive diplomacy instead of strong defense, and undermine the work of previous presidents to make America strong when it comes to foreign policy. His version of America would lie down at the first sign of aggression. I worry about the messages he is sending to our enemies. I think they are emboldened by the things he says and the policies he establishes. Oh to live in the Reagan era again!!!

Bill: Talk about revisionist history! Truman didn't have backbone? I think he did, to be sure. Clinton dealt well with Kosovo, and he tried to kill Bin Laden (for which he was criticized by the GOP). Nixon did not get us out of Viet Nam, that was Ford. What did Carter do to cost U.S. lives except the attempt to rescue the hostages? Reagan DID play politics regularly, and the result was the Iran-Contra scandal. How are we threatened by Cuba. Are you kidding me? How are we threatened by any South American country. They may differ with us, but that does not mean they are a threat. I have never seen so much baloney as you have written. Did you miss your history courses?

And small minded people like you believe that all Obama has to do is ask these dictators to "Please stop.....pretty please", and they will just comply without hesitation and the world will live happily ever after.
