just a sign of the economic times, consumers aren't buying, so fewer chinese consumer goods or korean cars are being imported.
should BO's cap and trade (AKA tax and job-kill) pass, even more manufacturing jobs will be sent overseas and our economy will never recover.
there are ways to create wealth: mine it (can't do that anymore), manufacture it (cap and trade will ship even more of that overseas), or grow it (farming is so heavily subidized it's hard to tell if it's actual wealth creation or just largess from the government). taxes do not create wealth.
BO and the dems had a chance in the cash for clunkers bill to create (or save) US jobs. All they had to do was require the new cars being purchased under the program have a minimum US content, but they didn't. And since numerous foreign carmakers have US plants, nearly all brands would be eligible.
