Kruger is awesome. We need to sign him to save money.

Can Kruger play defense?

When the Jazz really need help with defense and toughness, it's extremely disappointing that the authors of these articles don't even mention any defensive accomplishments or traits. Perhaps a new set of DMN sports writers that understand NBA basketball defense would be helpful.

I can't jump on Kruger's bandwagon if he's going to be another Morris Almond. Guards who shoot the lights out but play defense with their hands (not feet) sit on Jerry Sloan's bench or are relegated to the D-League.

Tell me about Kruger's defensive accumen and then I'll decide if I'm a Kruger fan.

Kruger plays, Maynor stays in D-league.

I've seen Kruger play several games in the D League and he's a smart, undersized player. His dad is the head coach at UNLV and a former head coach of the Hawks. I've seen Kruger set himself to be a pest in the passing lanes and to take charges. He kind of reminds me a little of a smaller young John Stockton.

This team sounds like a mirror of its parent -- let the opponent rain threes all night and fall into a huge hole, then rally and come back and hope to be in it at the end.

Hey, coaches -- there are other scripts.

Maynor: More Upside vs. Kruger | 12:29 p.m. July 10, 2009
Chad Ford gave the Jazz an A for drafting Eric Maynor and said he was the most underrated players in this year's NBA Draft. He has not played as well as Kruger in the summer league because Maynor wasn't in summer league last year; he was still in college. Maynor is the right size at 6'3" to be a great point guard and has played solid. Kudos to Kruger for being the hero yesterday and leading the Jazz to an overtime win. However, Kruger is more likely to play for the Flash than suit up for the Jazz this season. In time Maynor will show that he's the better point guard but for today Kruger has the spotlight.

I love krueger but people here always put him down.

Today the jazz finished a respectable 3-2 in the Orlando Summer league beating the Thunder 70-60. The jazz had 19 team assists led by 5 from kevin. he also scored 10 points. Eric Maynor one of 4 players with 4 assists. the Jazz won by 21 from 3s (what a change) 9-18 compared to 2-12 for Ok City.

Brown and Duncan combined for 23 points for us with well balanced scoring. The jazz had a strong 3rd quarter.
