Right -- he has none. Ricci is not qualified to discuss Sotomayor's qualificiations (especially since he doesn't admit that she just followed established law when confirming without comment the results of a trial court that ruled against him).

It amazes me the depths to which the Republicans will sink to try to hold onto power.

For Republicans to do anything less would be unfair to the American people. Supreme Court rulings affect human beings like Ricci.

I guess our first poster believes you need a legal education to qualify for equal protection under the law. Rather than some esoteric rhetoric and philosophy, he puts a human face on the injustice sotomayor's bigoted decision created.

BTW, with 40 seats in the senate, it seems foolish to say the GOP is trying to "hold onto power" since they don't really have any. Maybe what they are trying to do is keep a flawed, racist, sexist jurist off the supreme court. Just because she's an hispanic female doesn't mean she can't be a bigot.

Actually Sosotmayor did NOT follow the law,

the law says if a person passes this test you get promoted.

She overlooked the law, and used a precedent (an OPINION) from a lower court to get the outcome she wanted,

HORRIBLY poor judging, and was rightly OVERTURNED by a HIGHER court.

(and lazy juding, she couldn't even come up with her own reasoning.)

The only precedent that counts is from a HIGHER court.

I should think that if a dyslexic person can pass a test then any one of any race should be able pass it too,

is that NOT so?
