You have to love how the the party out of power is complaining but when they were in power they were spending like crazy too. Both parties are full of it and they spend big money in different ways.

Hmmmmm.....let's see, last I saw, YOUR man just added $655 BILLION to the federal budget. That's not total, that's just what Obama ADDED compared to Bush's last budget (fiscal year 2009, which ends on September 30th, 2009).

Did Republicans spend? Yes.

Are Democrats spending MORE, as in LARGER quantities, now? Yes.

Typical liberal: avoid the facts and just point fingers.

Right on! I'm a Republican, but my party is just as guilty as the other party. Politicians of all stripes like to talk about saving money, but when you look at their spending record, you see that they are all the same: The buy votes.

Make a new video, showing a child running up credit card bills. Then show his father having to pay them, as the child complains about his fathers spending money paying his sons debt.

Republicans should be embarrassed they are complaining. The time to complain was during Bush's spending and lack of Government oversight.

Yeah, but the GOP never cuts spending, despite all the screaming about less government spending. Only the other party ever balanced the budget in our lifetimes. The party of hate and negativism (GOP) can't come up with any ideas of their own. They love to spend on their programs (and none of them favor the average American).
Re: SammyD | 8:09 a.m. July 8, 2009
I think the video that would make more sense is the one with the father running up and maxing out all his credit cards that he and his son's names were on then dying and leaving his young son to pay off the debt. That is more the reality.

Can someone explain how blaming Bush moves the country forward? We still have the power to stop Obama.

If a Republican candidate came out with an ad that was critical of Obama's spending,
AND they were also critical of Bush's spending,
AND they pledged to bring true conservative fiscal policy to Washington...

I would vote for them.

I agree, after years of reading conservative comments year, many people lack a basic comprehension of numbers.

Being a educated liberal, this isn't news worthy. I can divide and find percentages. I can make colorful graphs of figures using Excel or Illustrator.

Obama wasn't making the point, he was a massive spending cuts. His point was, those in government, need to reviews spending and see where cuts can be made. Personally, I agree.

Long before Obama, wise people, realized great things can grow from humble beginnings. A giant redwood started as a seed. A walk in the woods, became the LDS Church.

Conservatives are obstructionist. Conservatives will try to kill movement in the direction they say they believe the nation should move in; if the man of color in the White House who won because conservatism failed, does it.

I just took a look at his other vides on youtube, and they're great as well. Especially like the one titled "national debt road trip". Answers quite well the questions brought up by some here regarding Bush's spending.
Hey Luke | 12:22 p.m. July 8, 2009
You had the power to stop Bush, but you voted him in for a second term. You validated the massive deficits he was running from the very first year in office. then you run lockstep after him, worshiping his administration as they destroyed our nation leaving Obama a mess that we will never see clear from. At least Obama is trying to save our economy from collapsing around your Bushie ankles. It is going to take a lot of investment to repair the damage to our infrustructure. The money that he will spend for health care was already saved when Bush took office, Bush spent it on his wealthy friends rather than investing it in our health care system. Then Bush continued to spend with the assistance of republican majorities in the Senate and the House. This is totally the fault of the republicans! TARP was republican bailout as well. stop whining and eat your dinner, you voted for the fools since Reagan, then both Bushes along with congress.
