Patients fret over proposed Tylenol restrictions

Why ban it? If people are going to be stupid and not follow the directions on the bottle or given by the doctor, then why should all the responsible people suffer? That's like banning cars for everyone because a TON of people fail to use turning signals and follow the speed limit, killing themselves and others.

There is no cure for the pain that I suffer from. On occasion I NEED something to feel better just to function. Banning my medication would mean I'd fork out more money to more doctors who can't do anything about my problem and be prescribed stronger and more expensive medications. Why? So that a few people who don't know how to read the bottle can be protected from themselves. It's all very silly and unnecessary.

They explained this on NPR. There are medications without Tylenol that work as well. The good thing is, with the advice of your doctor, to can take Tylenol with these medications. This ends up giving you and your doctor more and better choices.
